We have one of these every year. Use it to keep up with what is going down with our closest rivals. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Wilson's looked dynamite in the preseason. See how he reacts when the bullets start flying for real.
This will also make the third straight year we've faced a rookie quarterback in week 1. Last two years had us starting off with Sam Bradford and Cam Newton. _________________

I can, kid is going to be good. I would rather have faced Flynn. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

This disappoints me as well. I was excited that the Seahawks signed Flynn because I can see him struggling against the Cards D. I am definitely interested in being the first game against a rookie QB however. The Cards beat Bradford and Newton in their first games as QBs, so hopefully the trend continues. _________________

Been playing a vanilla defense all preseason. Week 1 will be the time to add a little razzle-dazzle!
(But yeah, I'd rather have to face Flynn) _________________

I know he is mobile and made a lot of plays in college but he is shorter than Max Hall. Then again mobile QBs tend to kick our butt. _________________ Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

We've been very lucky the last two seasons week 1 facing rookies. Obviously it didn't phase Cam who tore us up but we were very fortunate in both games. Both Whiz & Horton show absolutely nothing in preseason which is why lackluster performances in August never really bothered me. The OL has me terrified though. Worried more about Seattle's defense who've always rushed the passer well against us. _________________

Who cares how tall he is. He is not going to be a guy who makes most of his plays outside the pocket, this kid is a traditional pocket passer.
Honestly when I "scouted" him last season the only thing that did not grade out as elite was size. If he was 6-3 and not 5-11 he would have been a top five draft choice. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Size matters , but seriously Brees is the exception not the rule. At 5'11" it is hard to see over the line, that was the problem Hall had in the regular season could see in the pocket. Maybe Wilson is different but maybe he is Max Hall, for the Cards I hope he is. _________________ Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

That "can't see over the line" thing is valid as a general rule but it's really not for Wilson, as he makes nearly all of his plays outside of the pocket.
That said, one of our best defensive attritrutes is our team speed in open space. And we've played speedy quarterbacks well in the past. Played Vick really well last year in a win, never let his legs beat us. I expect Horton to be well prepared for that game. Our offense against their defense will be another story. _________________

The first part is false. He makes a large proportion of his plays from inside the pocket. The Seattle OL has done a good job of creating throwing lanes for Wilson. The will roll him out and move him around at bit though.
Wilson's OL at Wisconsin was overall bigger than the OL he is playing behind in Seattle. He did not have any troubles seeing over the line there. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's
