I think we're gonna wait til after next week to see what we have in tunei, kearse, Martin, bates, butler and obomanu. Only one of those guys will make the team with a slight possibility of another on the PS |
You think that we're only keeping 5 receivers for sure? I'd rather keep 6, with it being
Rice
Edwards
Baldwin
Tate
Butler
Obo/Martin |
No I think Well keep 6.....you just forgot about lockette | I'm not 100% sure we keep Lockette over Butler at this point. _________________

Haha, yeah I was defiantly thinking that I was forgetting about someone but couldn't think of who. But is he a lock? I mean I've barley seen him play let alone show anything so far this preseason. If this is truly competition, will we keep him for sure? Damn talented though, so I think I'd like him, and let Obo/Butler/Martin duke it out for that last spot, and take a guy on the PS. |

Yea, I'd agree with that. That's why I think one of the other guys makes the PS if he makes the team, and vice verse if he doesnt.
Channel 83 really "showed the young guys" didn't he?
Glad to see butler playing up to his draft status tho, finally. He actually has a pretty unique skill set in this league _________________

I guess I still sound dumb for saying Butler makes the team over Owens. _________________

Obviously looking at how TO played, it's not surprising _________________

Lockette definitely is, but I'm not sure he wouldn't get snagged by someone else.
Charley Martin is someone I like too, O_I. However he'd fill the same role as Obo, and I'm assuming we're very happy with Obo. _________________

Yea, and if Josh Portis plays like what I ideally hope he will, he'll be a top 5 QB by next year.
Part of the prediction is predicting how they'll perform. _________________

Don't even try and go there :lol:TO is a HoF first ballot receiver one year removed from a 70 catch year. Josh Portis couldn't cut it in D1 football. _________________

I don't know why you keep trying to use Owens' past as the reason he should be good right now. My stance the entire time was that Edwards and Owens were playing for one roster spot, and Edwards has looked better. The front office was clearly following the same line of logic which is the only thing that matters to me. My point from the get-go was that there wasn't room on this team for both Edwards and Owens, and there wasn't. End of story. _________________

If we got the TO that's physically where he's at RIGHT NOW with the mental ability on the field that he was in his prime, I'm about 98% sure we would've kept TO. _________________
