Nadal pulled out as expected since he has knee issues again, effectively ends his season. He's gonna lose way more points now which means that he'll drop further in the rankings, loses another 1200 and will be 4th in the world.
On another note, its a Djokovic Federer final waiting to happen. Murray and maybe Tsonga/Del Potro will be the other semi finalist. _________________

Ferrer is the 4th seed I believe, which means Tsonga and JMDP could have a tough time making the semis, even if I think they're both better than Ferrer on the hard court. _________________

Nadal... Tennis just isn't as compelling without Nadal in the draw. He really, really needs to start playing less in the first half of the season. It's time to stop worrying about the rankings and just worry about the bigger tournaments like Serena does. You can still be considered the best in the world without being ranked #1.
I was really looking forward to all of the big 4 playing having each won 1 of the big tournaments already this year. That would have been incredible.
My pick is Djokovic. _________________

True, forgot Ferrer was 5th and not Tsonga. Potro better pray that he doesn't get Roger. Tsonga I think can take down either anyone but probably not.
As for Nadal playing less dates, that's what he said a while ago and he should. The dude is highly disappointing in non slam hardcourt events. _________________

That's a stretch It's sad how men's tennis is so controlled. I am rooting hard for Milos Raonic, as usual. _________________

Actually the US Open has had 4 different winners the last four years, easily the least predictable major.
Also Fed beat Novak in Cincy so that's going for him and he's fresher.
On a homer related note, Potro needs to get some confidence back. That and some fitness. _________________

I feel so sorry for Donald Young
Djokovic has a cake walk until the quarters and even then he should get by Del Potro on Hard Court.
Fed and Murray have harder roads and honestly I can see Isner in the semi's. _________________

I don't feel bad for the guy at all. This kid refuses help from anyone outside of his parents. The USTA has given up trying to help him because of his attitude and refusal to accept it in the past. _________________

Sucks Rafa is always banged up. He's probably the most physically talented player ever. _________________

Just sad really, last year he was doing well, now he's just disappointing. _________________

Milos has Murray's quarter. Great scenario for him, considering he beat him a couple months ago. _________________

That was on clay, though. Murray on hard court is a different animal altogether.
Speaking of which, watching his game with Bogomolov right now. Bogomolov's serve is an utter tragedy. Murray 5-2 up, and the two games he lost were on his own serve. This would be a triple bagel if Murray was serving at a high level. _________________

Day one is the best to miss, tbh. You get to miss what are most of the time routine victories for the top seeds.
Bogomolov is playing much better in the 2nd set. Actually served at something higher than Challenger level. Was 4-2 up but Murray just took it 6-4. _________________
