Bad example considering what outsiders have been saying about Moss since we signed him. _________________ Welcome to the 9ers Q!

Randy Moss is probably the (look away NBT) 2nd greatest receiver of all-time, and put up over 1000 yards and double digit TDs in 2008 and 2009. To me those are two very different things. It's not like we brought in Antonio Bryant. _________________

Over 1500 yards and close to 20 TDs. And that was just in two years. Merriman's 5 sacks in 3 years isn't in any way comparable. _________________

As a back up. I see no harm in that. _________________

For the right price I would love him as a back up. _________________

Merriman visited and then we signed Bakhtiari? Or did he visit after we signed him? If it's the latter, it doesn't bode well for Merriman. _________________

Ah I thought Merriman visited after we signed Bakhtiari. Oh well, obviously they felt he was the better option, or do you think its salary related? _________________ saintsfan on the sig

Maiocco tweeted somewhere that Bakhtiari's skills on special teams led to them going with him. _________________ Welcome to the 9ers Q!

What day did we sign bakhatari?
I read Merriman visited yesterday. He said he's talked to a few teams but doesnt want to play for a 43. He sounded like he wanted to play for us though. Vet min would be better than nothing if I was him. _________________ ***WE RUN THE WEST!***

I may sometimes be at odds with harbaugh and baalke with the draft (just different philosophy), but they are excellent at getting what fits this team, and they no doubt have an incredible eye for talent. If they met with merriman and then went another direction I have every confidence that they did it for good reason and he just wasn't as good a fit _________________
