Will Svitek is out for season

I just saw it on Twitter. This is really bad news for us. I hope LaMar Holmes is a solid LT because Sam is just not cutting it.

Coach Smith has announced that Will Svitek was injured yesterday at practice and will unfortunately be out for the season. #atlmia12

Huge Huge loss since it was inevidable that Baker would have been replaced by week 6 this year for horrendous play. I dont think Holmes will be ready this soon. I think he is more of a project type of player. TD needs to be watching the waiver wire very carefully the next two weeks.

Sam Baker is in a contract year and has always underperformed (due to injury?). Hopefully he will stay healthy and step his game up this year.

I think everyone knows I hate the 2012 draft, and as much as I hate Baker, I don't think Holmes is better at this point. Maybe next year, but we need a vet pick up.

The only person happy about this news is Sam Baker. And possibly Coach Smith and TD. They get to play "their" guy. smmfgdh. Switek shouldve been starting over this clown b4 training camp even started. They must be waiting on some kind of miracle or something. Baker is what he is. I hate when coaches and GM's keep hanging on to certain players. Usually costs them their job. Replace this bum for crying out loud. Ryan doesnt stand a chance as long as Bakers over there. 3 wide reciever sets my azz. Gotta have protection for that.

No worries, as long as Sam "Short Arms" Baker stands tall at left tackle!

Guy was a first-round pick in 2008- 21st overall, I think?- and came from a big-school program at USC.

Now, in his fifth season, he's getting his chance to shine.

Besides, he has an excellent Mountain-Man beard.
