I know, I'm late, I'm late. But I figured it'd be nice to have a place to throw all of the preseason talk in one place, rather than throwing random facts into each game threads where they may not fit.
So here we go? _________________

Some interesting stuff I just saw pop across my Twitter feed.
All of these from @jaguarsinsider
| Quote: | | #Jaguars have 8 sacks in 2 games led by 2.5 by Aaron Morgan and 1.5 by Jeremy Mincey. J.K. Schaffer leads team with 12 tackles. |
We had TWO the entirety of all last preseason, and they were both in the final game.
| Quote: | | R. Jennings leads team with 118 yards on 23 carries with 2 runs of 17-plus yards and a 15-yard rush. |
| Quote: | | #Jaguars converted 46.9 percent on 3rd down (15 of 32). With Gabbert under center the Jaguars are 10 of 14 on 3rd down. |
| Quote: | | 4 of 8 drives with @BlaineGabbert under center led to 24 points, have made 5 trips to red zone resulting in 3 TDs. Gabbert sacked 1 time. |
Passing woes where? Line protection problems, where?
| Quote: | | #Jaguars have scored 59 points in first 2 games, the 2nd-most in franchise history in a preseason through 2 games (61, 1997). |
| Quote: | | Brian Robiskie leads the team in preseason with nine receptions for 98 yards and 1 TD. |
And from @JohnOsher
| Quote: | | Mularkey says Henne remains backup quarterback. Says some of Henne's troubles are working with backups rather than starters. #jaguars |
It's preseason, but this is all stuff worth getting excited about. _________________

I don't trust BRob, for the fact, he is playing against all 2s/3s, but also that he is the most targeted Receiver as well...I hope he does continue this, but there is also talk of only keeping 5 WRs...and with the love for Kevin Elliot, makes Rob the odd man out. _________________

I actually just got to watch the second preseason game.
The defense is definitely missing Daryl. Rashean and Cox really need to be fresh for the regular season as well.
The offense has a different dynamic with Blackmon in there - I know it's just one game, but the guy doesn't look much different from the OK State version. Even with his limitations of size and speed, if he can consistently make tough catches and get those ugly yards after catch, he'll be worth the pick. It'll take some regular season consistency for me to jump on the Blackmon Wagon, but he looked great.
Gabbert's play speaks for itself. Same goes for Jennings - a month from now, MJD's holdout will have turned into a blessing for the franchise moving forward (provided Jennings stays healthy and someone emerges as a compliment). By the end of the season, he could very well be the primary back with MJD having put himself on the backburner. _________________

I'm not even close to sold on Robiskie, he isn't playing with the 1's so I won't get my hopes up for him. _________________

If we keep 6, yes, if 5 like reported, then no, that goes to Kevin Elliot. _________________

I havnt been this excited about our team since the 2008 season(which sucked) and havn't been that positive about this team. I'm trying really hard to calm down about this year, but I cant _________________

I'm more "excited" to be proven wrong (Gabbert/Blackmon) _________________

Mojo122 got it on the dot. Daryl Smith out is the biggest factor that hurts... More than Derek Cox. Daryl is just way too talented for our defense to even seem close to what it is with any other one of our LBs on the field. Don't get me wrong... Having Derek out really hurts as well but not as much as Daryl. On another note... I don't see Branch being amazing, but I don't expect any other DEs to overperform him, I expect a good rookie season. _________________
