Okay guys, I'm starting the league back up. Get your keepers set, and let's agree on a draft date. For reference, here are the members from last year (names in bold have returned to claim their teams):
Troy Brown, finn54, ChazStandard, patsjunky54, Mogura, Bomber929 and Aren.
We have two new owners, as Tzimisce is taking over for SoxNats07, and dhunt2402 is taking over for TomRalph.
Here are the rules, same as last year:
- Auction budget will be $200, no limit on keepers, keeper price will inflate by $3 a year <- Keep this in mind when selecting your keepers!
- $100 dollar in-season auction waiver system; players are awarded to the highest bids submitted on them by the next waiver processing day, with a total budget of $100 to spend, and no in-season salary cap
- Starting slots will consist of 1 QB, 2 RB, 1 RB/WR Flex, 1 WR, 1 WR/TE Flex, 1 TE, 1 D/ST, 1 K
- 2 IR slots
- 0.5 Point-Per-Reception
- Standard fractional scoring, with the following exceptions: 1 point per 20 passing yards (rather than 25), -1 every 10 incomplete passes (accuracy matters!); 1 point for every 50 total kickoff or punt return yards for individual returners; -2 for sub-40 yard field goal misses
- 12 week season, playoffs start in week 13, run until week 16 (No worthless week 17 matchups, but you miss one out of division game a year)
Here's the link to the league office: http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/leagueoffice?leagueId=34159
Good luck to everyone this year; you're going to need it against my team.

Heh, I wish. But no, the budgets are in imaginary dollars. |

If someone doesn't claim their team and I need a substitute GM, you'll be first on the list. |

I don't remember the specific number of keepers we're allowed. Is it any number, just the price of the keeper increases or did we agree on a number of keepers? _________________

My team sucks. That's one thing I dislike about keeper leagues. It's tough to correct your initial mistakes.
Unless you're Richter and you don't make mistakes. fu. _________________

I took it easy on you guys in the initial draft, so no complaining. Besides, it's not nearly as hard to correct mistakes as you'd think; high priced talent ends up back in the pool because of inflation, and the new crop of rookies gives you plenty of opportunities to fix things. Not to mention, trades are still allowed, even at this time of year.
To answer your question from earlier, you can keep as many as you like, but the price goes up three bucks a year. I may institute a keeper limit of six though, I've been weighing it back and forth, to help redistribute the talent a bit, since we had our share of first time auction drafters last year. |

Sounds good. I think my issue last year was that it was my 4th draft, I believe. I was trying different things or at least, that's what I'll go with. I've set my keepers and I'll keep them set at what they are now until I see how the league shakes up, maybe trade one of them or let them go. _________________

As for draft time, I usually have mondays and thursdays off. I work evenings so I'm not sure how I'd be available on other days and it'd probably be difficult to do it early in the day with all of the time differences but whatever, if I can't make it, I'll set my big board up. _________________

I just looked at your team, it's not even that bad. You've got seven guys worth keeping, in my estimation. I left Matt Forte on the board for you last year, but I'd be interested in him this year, as well as one of your receivers. Romo is available on my team, if you're not happy with Rivers. |

Monday is my preferred day as well, since I have it off. Right now, I'm thinking the 27th, or the 3rd of September. |
