Keeper Rules
1 - You may keep either:
A: One player whom you drafted in the first 4 rounds
OR
B: Two players that were drafted from round 5-16
2 - You do have to forfeit the draft pick (round) that corresponds with your keeper selection
3 - You may keep a player a MAXIMUM of 3 years.
Draft
The draft order is below. Please review all information and check in with any issues or concerns. Everything is up for change NOW - dont complain later. I will open a draft thread within the next ~24 hours. We will draft via this forum, hopefully completing it within the week. _________________

I would be in favor of adding one more person so it's an even 12. _________________

Matts, I have 2 questions regarding keepers and the subsequent drafts:
1. In future drafts, do you lose the draft pick for which your keeper was selected? For example, let's say I keep Calvin Johnson, who was picked in the first round in 2012. Do I lose my first-round pick in 2013?
2. How many years can we keep a player? Is it for as long as we want, for 1 year, 2 years? And if multiple years and assuming we lose the draft pick, we would always lose the players' draft selection (see example above, so in this case I would always forfeit my first-round pick until I decide not to keep CJ)? _________________

Coupls three things.
1. I share the same question as TSSS, do we lose that selection for the next year?
2. Waivers on? Personally I prefer a first come first serve method, but I do know a lot of people don't stand by a computer (or phone) during the games.
3. Personally I HATE having a Q/W/R/T flex only because of the QB, QBs earn too many points these days, basically if you nab two top 10 QBs you will be in the championship game, I would be for a switch to a W/R/T flex spot instead.
4. QB pass TD at 4? If so I would have interception at -2 instead of -1, just a fan of the INT taking away at least half a TD. That is just nit picking.
Thanks for setting this up Matthews4313 _________________ Bring swag back to Dallas 2012.

My initial thought is no, you would not forfeit that draft pick. We have plenty of time to debate that point if someone wants to do it different.

I am thinking 3 years max |

If people have a problem with the scoring I can make updates - I just went with the Yahoo standard.
As for the flex - I like it a lot because it puts the proper value on drafting a QB. If multiple people disagree, we can remove it. _________________

Never had the first pick before and have been doing Fantasy Football for 8 or 9 years. Interesting.
First pick is on the trade block. PM me with trade offers. But, since this is a Keeper League, it'll have to be a great offer to get me to accept. _________________

Oh. Wow. This is a really friendly Keeper League version.
I am used to playing where you keep the player - you lose the pick in rounds 1-4. If you keep a player after round 4, you lose a pick two rounds higher. Meaning if say you took Cam with the 12th pick, and you want to keep him, you lose your 10th this year.
You can keep a player for two years after the initial draft (so a total of three years) before he has to go back into the pool where he can be re-drafted if you choose to do so.
The reason we have you lose a pick is so that you are sure. You are diluting the pool of talent so you better make sure you want that player and are not just doing it to screw someone over. Also losing a pick keeps the rosters even.
A buddy of mine wants to do this in his league:
The vulture system
This one is not only fun, but you can harm your opponents' teams in the process. And let's face it, nothing's better than chop-blocking a pal! The worst team in the league can either keep one player from his team or one player from the team that finished in first. The same goes for the second-to-last place team and the second-place team, and all the corresponding teams in between in the standings. Once the lower-half of the league decides their keepers, the top half gets to return the favor with those bad teams.
Which is just diabolical enough to work here. It keeps things interesting each and every year. _________________
