He retired I think around 12 in a row at one point! He's pitched well at PNC so far this year.
Home: 2-4 2.72 ERA
Away: 3-8 6.75 ERA |

17 in a row was where it ended.
A night after Burnett got 18 straight Reds. _________________

Hated last nights loss.
We're now 54-1 when leading after 7 innings. _________________

Both have had stellar seasons, can't believe they'd both have bad outings in the same game.
But both guys also pitch with a lot of intensity, so hopefully that'll fire them up for the next time they get a chance. _________________

I hope like hell that James McDonald gets put in the pen. What a pathetic performance to give up a 7-1 lead against the Padres. Hurdle should have pulled him. There's no way he deserves his next chance to start. None. A 8.71 ERA in his last six is unacceptable. Then we have Watson who gives up a two out walk and a homer. What a miserable loss tonight. _________________

Go back a couple of pages, i've been saying that for a month! I don't think he should go to the pen, but maybe a 15 day DL to get his head and mechanics back in order. Correia is plenty capable of holding that spot in the rotation for him.
Also, now that Jeff Locke was called up, why the hell is Watson still on this roster? All he does is give up runs, especially at crucial points in games. Time for him to go. _________________

Yeah, not sure how Watson even gets a chance. Perhaps it was because of Hughes struggling?
We need Juan Cruz back, and Jeff Locke needs many more outings before a select few of the relievers.
J Mac does need to have a start or two skipped. There's no excuse for his awful play since the All-Star Break. _________________ Come Follow My Oakland Multi-Sport Franchise! |

Talk about two miserable losses in a row. So that's how the Pirates respond to the heartbreaking lost? Getting shutout with just two hits (the exact same number that Marquis had himself) and the first coming in the seventh against a pitcher with an ERA of over 5. Terrible.
Need a big game from Bedard to stop the bleeding. The pitching has been bad the past fives game. _________________

Hard to lose ball games when you have nine run innings!
Amazing comeback today. Bedard didn't even pitch that badly today. He was average, but still not bad. I can't help but to feel bad for him. Two missed strike calls on pitches that would have got him a K ended up being a ball, then the next pitch was hit for a play that ended in disaster.
If we could get home plate umpires, who would actually call ball games correctly, Bedard gives up 2 runs and has 2 more K's added to his score sheet.
Regardless, Jolly Roger raised! Bring it on Dodgers! _________________ Come Follow My Oakland Multi-Sport Franchise! |

Now that I got this kickazz new sig, they will turn things around! August is actually a good time for a small slump if they're gonna have one. Getting hot in September is what I'm hoping for. _________________

Have faith, my brothers! This team is always hot in September!
They will catch fire and still be in this until that Braves series. _________________ Come Follow My Oakland Multi-Sport Franchise! |

Disappointing homestand but at least they go into the big series in St. Louis with a victory. Ten straight games they have given up five or more runs. The pitching has got to be better than that if they still want to be in the playoff hunt.

Close loss to the Cardinals tonight....
Hopefully we can take the series Sunday....
Looks like there will be no catching the Reds with the way they are playing. _________________ Stay low boys.... keep those feet moving!
