Seriously though, I've noticed it's gotten worse the last few months. Instead of dudes letting a mod handle it via 1 post or a PM, they bring up the infraction themselves, which inevitably leads to a response from the party involved or someone else on his behalf. Before you know it, half the page is cluttered up with what can/can't be said instead of actual football.

It's messing up any actual discussion that's been going on, and the quality of discussion has been on the slide recently because of it.

My proposal is capital punishment. But perhaps a mod deleting the back and forth comments would be a little more cost efficient.

I'm not sure it has gotten worse, but I do agree that it isn't something I like to see. The mods and I tell members to report rule violations and not respond to them. The best thing you can do is contact a mod when you see a topic being derailed by bickering over the forum rules. They should be able to quickly put a stop to it.
