Ridiculous physical ability plus ridiculous intangibles. He's not expected to show anything on defense. He needs to be a star on STs just long enough to earn a defensive role, which may take a year or two.

Bequette started off playing out of control and ending up on the ground a lot, but he's started putting some good snaps together. Getting around the ball and making a few plays, including a clean-up sack. |

I'd like to see him against first-stringers before I'm fully confident in his ability to play. But the burst is encouraging.
Looking at the stat sheet, Vereen has been beastly since he's been in the game. How has Bolden looked?

Interesting.
If Vereen keeps this up, the Pats might be able to carry just 3 halfbacks [and 1 fullback] and keep 6 receivers [not counting Slater].

"Ridiculous intangibles" - what's that even mean?
He's a good athlete and like most special teams standouts, seems to have a total disregard for his own safety on-field.
I still think Ebner is headed for the practice squad. |
