OF the listed it is obviously Allen, but the omission of Alexander is questionable and so is that of Gomez.

^Jim Thorpe was the first person to come to mind and my pick as well. I watched an excellent documentary on him on PBS a few months ago. The guy was an amazing athlete.

From a legend perspective, the Thorpedo is #1.
However within context he excelled at several sports in their beginning. Not the same as doing what Deion did, but then again MLB is the lesser physical sport.
I thought of Julius Peppers, Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzales.
In the sports world today, pro athletes don't have much room for more than one league.
The above would be NBA all-stars had they so chose.
