The Eagles needed a camp body at DT as Mike Patterson is not ready to play football yet (offseason brain surgery). Why they felt they needed to trade for a camp body, I have no idea. |

Yeah but really, DJ Johnson had no shot. I've never heard of him, and I thought I knew everyone on the roster.
Scrabble and DRC are locks at 1 and 2. Hanson, Boykin, Marsh, Hughes, Lindley, and Harris all have equal shots of being a nickel versus being cut. Besides the veteran Hanson, all those guys are high potential, developmental guys.

I think this is a fair way to look at it. Both players were probably on their way out, at least they get a chance to make a roster elsewhere...
