I have also lost someone very close to me who had cancer and anyone who has had to watch a loved one live with this disease, than most likely you know that there are a few things that are far worse than death itself. Cancer is one of them. |
Sorry to hear about that. Yes it is very terrible. My buddy's wife is dying of cancer. She's only 28. She just went into hospice and that's the last step. Very helpless feeling.
And I have to admit, every time I read new posts in this thread I get a little teary eyed. I've never felt that way about somebody on the internet. Crakburn is still very very much missed.
Also sorry to hear your plight too fsubrowns9510. _________________

Hey guys....it's been awhile. I just want you all to know that I personally shook Joe Thomas hand and told him Thank You for being there for our boy Crakburn. My cousin is a Security Guard at a Casino in Erie, and the the Casino bought a Suite from Browns Stadium. Well....The Browns players come up here and show there faces and have a good time as a part of there deal. So I kinda get the downlow when they're in town....so I kinda go up there when they get there. haha.
So anyways....my cuz texted me when the whole OL came into town, and I drove my rump there.....I met Steinbach, Thomas, Mack, and the rest of the big uglys. Steinbach was drinking a Corona....came up to me since I was wearing my Browns gear and said....What's up brother....it's nice to see some Browns fans here. He shook my hand, and told me to go meet the boys. They were all at the Black Jack table. So I shook everyones hand, stated my piece about the season, had a foamie with them, they all signed my Browns Book, and told Joe thank you from all of us from footballsfuture. He was so nice and sincere, and said he will never forget that day with our buddy Crakburn. He said he was very touched how all of us did everything we all could do to make his last days memorable.
I just want to say Thank You all again for how hard everyone tried to make Crakburn smile 1 last time. It felt so good to say Thank You from all of us. I'm not going to lie.....I straight up shed a tear when I left.
I miss ya Crakburn.....Much Love Brother......You guys always on my mind. _________________

That's just plain awesome. I can't believe it has been more than 2 years now. I remember joining a long time ago, and he was one of the best posters, and overall guys on the forum. It still doesn't seem the same without him. _________________

Two proudest momoents as a Browns fan, not entirely unrelated, happened three years apart and involved Joe Thomas. His visit to crackburn and his signing an extension making him a Brown for life.
I'm grateful for the community we have here, and players like Joe Thomas that make this team so great to root for.
Thank yous for both Joe T. And Joe B. (crackburn) for representing the best of what it means to be a Brown. |

I have read this site while posting on another for years. Crackburn once posted the difference between a 3-4 and a 4-3 defense. That explaination is something I still roll over in my mind when I compare the two. Thought I would share. God bless, Crackburn. _________________ Go Browns ~ Win Tribe ~ Cavs!

Hope you're doing well Joe. I'll still always remember how the forum came together to get Joe Thomas to meet him. For those of you latecomers to the site, he was a real great poster, very well respected in this forum as a moderator, as well as other forums. Great guy. RIP buddy. _________________

I can't believe it's been 4 years! I don't post on here that often anymore, but you're always in my thoughts bro. It hit me hard when he passed because I was only 2 days older then Crackburn. He had a good faith and has the best seats in town! RIP bro! _________________
