So you are some of you still upset we passed on him? _________________ Welcome to Minnesota, Greg Jennings.

Nope, especially not after reading this:
| Quote: | Nick Fairley is in trouble again. This time, for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and attempting to allude police.
Fairley, the Detroit Lions' first-round pick a year ago, was arrested for the second time since the beginning of April early this morning by Alabama State Troopers, according to Fox10 in Mobile, Ala.
Fairley was arrested for misdemeanor possession of marijuana last month, also in Mobile, and is awaiting a July arraignment on that charge.
"We are aware of the reports and are in the process of gathering more information," the Lions said in a statement.
Fairley's agent, Brian Overstreet, did not return a phone call seeking comment and a call to Fairley's cell phone said the number has been disconnected.
Fairley was arrested shortly after 1 a.m. today, according to the report. He was charged with DUI and attempting to elude police, but troopers told the station Fairley also was ticketed for reckless driving, no proof of insurance and having an open container.
He posted $1,750 bond and was released shortly after 9 a.m. |

The truth is that we as fans don't know what the NFL teams knew about Fairley going into the 2011 Draft.
1st Round candidates get checked out thoroughly by NFL security nowadays, to the point where occasionally you get a Pacman Jones, Matt Jones or Charles Rogers but for the most part it's pretty rare for a player to slip through the cracks like this. _________________

At the time I thought he would have been an added bonus to an already nice defensive line in Minnesota. Playing next to SUH was supposed to turn them into what we had with Pat and Kevin. Sucks to see someone throw away so much talent. Football careers average 2-3 years if the player is lucky. Save the marijunana for after your playing days if you feel the need to partake. I feel bad for the Detroit fans. They could have had something special there with Suh, Avril, Vanden Bosch, and Fairley. _________________

It's a bit of déjà-vu for Lions fans. Matt Millen took Charles Rogers ahead of Andre Johnson in the 2003 Draft.

| Quote: | | Lions cornerback Aaron Berry was arrested early Saturday morning in Harrisburg, PA on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, two counts of causing accidental damage to an unattended vehicle or property and two counts of failure to stop and give information to law enforcement. |
And we thought the Vikes were bad, the Lions cant seem to keep out of trouble this offseason. Fairley, LeShoure and Culbreath were all arrested earlier this year related to substance abuse, and in Fairley's case, drunk driving. |

I think that puts the Lions at 6 arrests this offseason. |

I'd much rather have the Lions thrown in the discussion with the Bengals rather than the Vikings. _________________

uhh, I like Aaron Berry too.
what a dumb move. I guess some people just can't see how great of an oppurtunity they are given, and how easily it can just be taken away... _________________

According to Anwar Richardson of MLive.com, left tackle Jeff Backus and running back Mikel Leshoure have an injured thumb and hamstring, respectively. Last year, Leshoure tore an Achilles tendon early in camp. He missed the entire season.
This time around, Leshoure is day-to-day. Backus, however, could have a broken bone.

Not good for Backus. They did draft Riley Reiff, who figures to be the LT of the future. If its a serious injury, id expect Reiff to push to be an opening day starter, like Kalil. |

Yes he was. It was kind of a head scratcher of a pick for Detroit back then as most thought Best was too frail to be an NFL RB. He hasnt held up well so far.
We also swapped 4th rd picks with them, which netted us Everson Griffen, who probably wouldnt have been there in the late 4th rd .
Lions got:
RB Jahvid Best
OT Jason Fox
Vikings got:
CB Chris Cook
DE Everson Griffen
TE Mickey Shuler |
