Nabbs, you can come up with the description for our offense Very Happy
Doesn't have to be long, just something like whether we like to pass a lot, or prefer run, etc. What kind of formations we utilize. Nothing deep!

808, do the same for defense! We have 2 DTs and 1 DE, and 4 LBs so maybe a 3-4 is what we will need to work with~
Or move down babyatemydingo to DE and run a 4-3 Very Happy

Camp Battles:

Camp Battles will decide who the starters are. They will be short challenges and myself, Ian, and either the OC or DC (depending on player's position) will decide who wins the battles.

A PM will be sent to each contestant alerting them of their battle. Participation is not mandatory, but your chances of becoming a back-up are higher.

For starting RB:
Code:
RBrown86 vs Poloc2289

June 21st to June 23rd (11:59PM)
RB CHALLENGE: Based on participation, this battle may be extended to a point based system with several rounds. Though since both players are different type of backs, it is possible even the back-up gets a lot of carries depending on how the OC uses you. This challenge is to determine who the premier back is.
Quote:
Your challenge is to find a post by Dashing in the Washington Redskins forum. Judges will give points to whichever quote gives a stronger reaction of any emotion, whether it be happiness, laughter, anger, disgust, or confusion. Find the quote, and place it in this thread by 11:59 PM on the 23rd.

For 1st, 2nd, and slot receivers:
Code:
nlesthought vs Jeezla vs B60

June 21st to June 23rd (11:59PM)
WR CHALLENGE: The loser of this challenge will become the slot receiver (#3). The #2 and #1 will be decided in a second round of challenges.
Quote:
Your challenge is to scour the internet for a picture of the most beautiful woman you can find with a kitten. NO CELEBRITIES. NO EDITING. You will submit your post once, in this thread, and that is it until reviewing. Late submissions will not be accepted. Forum rules apply. Based on the participation level of this first challenge, we will decide if we want to declare winner/loser right away, or do a point based system and have more challenges. Have fun with it!

TIME EXTENSION: Challenge due by 11:59 PM on the 29th.

For TE:
Code:
JayAp vs Dr. Philly

June 27 to June 29 (11:59 PM)
TE CHALLENGE: Depending on participation, the challenges can be extended for further examination. Winner is starting TE, loser can choose to join a different position or remain #2 TE.
Quote:
Your challenge is to make arguments anywhere on the site that longer arms equals more success for a player. Post ONE reaction to your argument that invokes some sort of emotion among the coaches (laughter, sadness, anger, jealousy, etc.). Basically, make an argument that longer arms = better football player or more success and post the best response. Forum rules apply, do NOT troll or start a fight. Do NOT derail a thread. Do NOT start a thread. Good luck.

For #1 DT:
Code:
Kiltman vs Jroc

For FS:
Code:
Remixxxxx vs Silo

Pre-TC Press Conference, 3:00 PM on June 20th, 2012, with Head Coach [b]Phire[/b]

[Opening]The time has finally come for the beginning of what promises to be an exciting new year for this start-up franchise. The roster is nearly completed, and we look forward to a tough training camp with essential battles occurring all across the board.

I am not open for questions.[/Opening]

Quote:
Reporter 1: "Coach, are you comfortable with there being no competition for the starting quarterback position? How do you feel about your quarterback, Blahman88?"

If I didn't believe in Blahman88's abilities, I would have went and got someone. He's a good kid, with a good head. He can deliver a mean blow when he needs to. He's an athlete who can bend and twist like an acrobat, spread his legs real far, really flexible guy.

He's got a good arm too. And I know he's getting a lot of unwarranted criticism for being from England, but he's handling it the right way. With a cup of tea and some fish n' chips.

Quote:
Reporter 2: "Coach, where do you anticipate will be the most strenuous position battle?"

Without question, the WR position. We have 3 guys who are extremely versatile and talented.

Quote:
Reporter 2: "How do you feel about Bednarik60's knees?"

We've got some of the best medical staff in the nation here. We'll keep a close eye on how he's doing, but he's been training very hard, and doing his best keeping out of trouble. He has had run-ins with the authorities, but we're doing our part as well to keep him focused on the game. He lost a boat-load of weight and is very lean. He's looking very fast.

Quote:
Reporter 3: "Coach, is there a more talented long snapper in the NFL than LOLKevinKolb?"

Well, obviously the first name that comes to mind is Jon Dorenbos. What that guy has been able to do with a ball between his legs is incredible. Every long snap is magical. You can see the magical dust sprinkling from his hands and leaving a trail to the punter's grasp. LOLKK is a good kid, and he has a lot to learn. He's got a great relationship with Dorenbos though, since LOLKK attended some private work-outs at Dorenbos' private island in May.

[End PC]

After reviewing our roster and taking into account each player's strengths and weaknesses, I've made a decision for our front 7. We will indeed be running an aggressive 4-3 defense (to be named at a later time).

Up the middle, it made the most sense to have our two anchors in on most plays, as we are lucky to have a pair like Kiltman and JRoc clogging the middle. Hammertime52's flexibility and quick get off on the snap has allowed us to move him to our premier pass rushing RDE spot. bamd's expertise and hard nosed play has allowed him to move up to starting MIKE. We now have a lone position battle on our hands (see below) at FS.

Our depth chart has been altered slightly, so without further ado:

Quote:
4-3 Defense:

NT: Kiltman
UT: JRoc
LDE: RBC
RDE: Hammertime52
MLB: babyatemydingo
SLB: Withmy89vision
WLB: killdawabbit
FS: Remixxxxx, SiLo
SS: VIPMSP
LCB: Willylaw
RCB: sunnygsm

This position battle should be a good one. Staff, I'm going to need your intel on who has the leg up in this competition.

"Look, when I throw a dog a bone, I don't want to know if it tastes good or not. If our RDE spot is played correctly, including taking care of your responsibilities, practicing sound Juandamentals, and having a relentless motor, it is a glorious position in our defense. We moved the "Hammer-Head" there, and that's the end of it."

Alright so I've seen my challenge and done some research. I'll have my submission in on time

Also I have noticed that it specifically mentioned it must be a post in the Washington Redskins forum. I know he's had some memorable one's here but apparently they are not allowed
