| Quote: | ESPN - The Vikings expressed great interest in Collins and Murphy but were afraid they would be taken before they could get a chance at them. The Vikings think tank contacted Packers GM Ted Thompson and offered him a lucrative trade if the Packers drafted the two talents. According to the terms, the Vikings would get Collins and Murphy and in return the Packers would receive Sam Cowart, Pat Williams, and Minnesota's 1st round picks in 2006 and 2007.
Emboldened by his great wisdom, Thompson jumped at the opportunity and drafted Collins and Murphy. He then responded by picking up the phone and calling the Vikings office. After 6 attempts the Vikings have not answered. Technical problems are suspected but Thompson assures fans the trade will take place once service is returned and he contacts the Vikings.
Further details show that a bridge in Brooklyn was also included in the deal.
