Now he won't show results from a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews on his surgically repaired shoulder, but if a team wants to trade for him he will show them. Either you're healthy or you're not. Guess what Mike, we can't trade you if you are not healthy. Now it's reported he will go back home to South Florida to work out privately, instead of working out in Dallas. Is he deliberately trying to kill his market value? |
At this point in the offseason, he doesn't have any market value anyway, so there is nothing to kill. His value will only increase later if/when teams start racking up injuries either during training camp or early on in the season. That's when his market value will rise. Going home and working out in Florida is a strong message to our "GM" that he wants out, but it does nothing to his overall trade value; good or bad. |
What happened to addition by subtraction by Jerry? Jenkins doesn't need to be on this team this year because he will be a distraction |
The real addition by subtraction would be for Jerry to remove himself. |
and then what? |

The best thing Jenkins can do is to be on the field. Yeah I get that he is angry. Get over it. Forget about things that coaches have said about Claiborne being a starter. Certainly when you trade up to take a guy at 6 overall there is an expectation that he will start - but it is not written in stone. Jenkins needs to show up and outwork Claiborne in training camp and the exhibition season and take the job. Jenkins can't get the big contract he is hoping for by not being on the field. Go out and earn it. A healthy Jenkins becomes an integral part of what should be a vastly improved defense. _________________ Northland |
