Well I haven't done one of these threads in a couple of years, but why not start now. I'll be posting rankings, scouting reports, and even passing on rumors that I've heard. Feel free to tell me I'm an idiot (within the rules) and correct me where I'm wrong or ask questions. Whatever goes.
I'm going by old video of the players playing on whatever channel they were playing on, old videos of them playing (and yes some of them are highlight reals) and also comparing them to other reports. _________________

Draft Rumors (6/8 Edition)
~ Apparently Dion Waiters got a promise from some team inside the lottery. He shut down his workout and left the NBA Pre-Draft camp and has shut down any other scheduled workouts. Early reports came out saying that Toronto at 8 was the team that most likely gave him the promise, but Raptors president and general manager, Bryan Colangelo, came out and was adamant that the Raptors had not given any promises. Phoenix is another possibility, but I believe that Toronto was in fact the team that gave Waiters the promise.
~ Cavaliers apparently really like Harrison Barnes, but I believe ultimately they have Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Bradley Beal both higher on their big board. I think this might be a ploy to get Charlotte to lower the price on swapping picks, but look for Charlotte and Cleveland to explore working on a deal that would allow the Bobcats to move down, likely to target Thomas Robinson, while the Cavaliers would move up, presumably for either Beal or Kidd-Gilchrist. Harrison Barnes won't get past Sacramento at five though should Cleveland manage to trade up to two.
~ Don't be surprised if Arnett Moultrie ends up going in the lottery. His stock has slowly been rising, and he's being looked at as high as ninth to Detroit where many think he's a great fit next to Greg Monroe. He was viewed as a late first round pick going into the year.
~ Speaking of the lottery, the big winners in this were the New Orleans Hornets, Portland Trailblazers and Golden State Warriors. The Hornets were the obvious winners with the Hornets getting the #1 overall choice who they will presumably take Anthony Davis. Both the Trailblazers and Warriors are winners because they managed to keep the picks that were involved within the trades. The Blazers kept the Nets pick since it didn't fall inside the top three, while the Warriors kept their pick since it didn't fall outside the top seven. The Warriors were negotiating with the Jazz about tightening the restrictions on their pick before talks were broken off. As for the big losers, the Charlotte Bobcats and Brooklyn Nets were the big losers. The Bobcats were one of the worst teams in the NBA ever, and they deserved the #1 pick but the ping pong balls didn't fall their way. The Nets ended up losing a top six pick through the Gerald Wallace trade when the ping pong balls didn't bounce their way.
~ Don't be surprised if Rudy Gay and/or Andre Iguodala are dealt on draft day. The Grizzlies apparently want cap relief and a lottery pick in return for Rudy Gay, but not many teams could offer that. Both the Trailblazers and Kings could both be teams interested in acquiring Rudy Gay. Andre Igoudala figures to be dealt as well, but might not have the trade value that Rudy Gay has since he's a bit older. He's been linked to the Lakers, Jazz, and a couple of other teams so I fully expect to see Andre Iguodala in another uniform next year with the emergence of Evan Turner in the playoffs. _________________

Only huge difference there will be in our guard rankings is that I'm going to have John Jenkins significantly higher than you've got him. Best stroke in the class should elevate his stock big-time.
Other than that, nothing too glaring. I'll probably have Tony Wroten and Scott Machado above Marquis Teague, but all will be top-30 players on my board. _________________

After I posted it, I kinda felt the same way. Kinda reminds me of a mix between Jordan Crawford and J.J. Redick. A bit more athletic than Redick, but a much better shooter than Crawford. Someone will take a flier on him late in the first round. Probably will move him up to eight in the future.
As for Teague/Wroten/Machado, it's still very fluid and not much really has separated them. Wroten has some Tyreke Evans to his game, and he's personally the guy I think ultimately will be the best. _________________

What would be the idea Iguodala deal.

Honestly not sure. They don't really seem to have a true direction as they seem like they're stuck in between rebuilding with Evan Turner as their centerpiece, but contending with Andre Iguodala. The problem is I don't see a team giving up rebuilding pieces for Andre Iguodala. A deal around Pau Gasol is possible though. _________________
