Kevin Curtis will be available this upcoming offseason and I think that the Lions should try and pursue him if St. Louis is unable to resign him. He has big playmaking skills and on the other side of Roy Williams the Lions would have two great Wideouts. Eric Johnson is also going to be available this offseason and with Marcus Pollard not getting any younger plus a need for a good TE he will be open for the market.

What is everyone else's opinions on these two?

Curtis is a bust, Eric would be worth a look though.

i would really like to have kevin curtis. would be very good opposite roy. no i know this is REALLY unlikely but what would it be like to have
#1-Roy WIlliams
#2- Calvin Johnosn
#3-Kevin Curtis
#4- Mike "In a Hurrey" Furrey
Mike Williams would be traded for a 4th round pick

Eric Johnson would be nice, he a solid player, but i wouldn't lose any sleep if we didn't get him

I actually like Curtis. He's got speed, and pretty good hands. But he just isnt consistant. I would actually like him here though.

If we still have Martz for next season, I say get Curits. Johnson would be a good pick up IF AND ONLY IF Pollard retires/ Fitzsimons gets traded or released. Don't quote me on this but I think Fitzsimons got an extention this off season. If we pick up Eric Johnson and Pollard/Fitzimons is still in detroit we will have four tight ends and I'm not sure the Martz offense has many four tight end sets

I agree with what S-Cobar said about Curtis, but I think Johnson might be a risk because of his injury problems

I was basically saying take a look at Eric Johson if Pollard retires because at 34 and will be 35 in offseason he isnt getting any younger. Kevin Curtis would give a good burst of speed to the receiving core and right now he is in the 3rd receiver role and should thrive better in the second. It could all depend on who we draft also though.

its not a matter of who is free, its if they want to come to detroit or not.
