With the 18th selection in the 2013 NFL Draft...
...The Cincinnati Bengals select...
Tyrann Mathieu, aka THE HONEY BADGER, CB/S, from the University of Louisiana State
| Anonymous3 speaking on behalf of Mike Brown who was swept away by aliens moments ago wrote: | | The Bengals organization feels Mathieu is the missing link to our defense. For decades the Bengals have ignored the Safety position, ignoring its value, and the value a playmaker brings to the defense from the position. Although Mathieu won't "start" he'll be used in a role that allows him to play the LOS as Roy Williams used to do for Mike Zimmer, slide over to the slot and cover quick WRs like Mike Wallace, and as our Centerfielder in a FS role. The only thing not to like about him is his 5'7" frame that only has about 180 pounds as of now. We feel as long as he can add a little bulk and mantain his speed, Matheiu will be a stud for many years to come. |

with the 23rd pick in the 2013 draft the Philadelphia Eagles select Tyler Wilson QB Arkansas
Michael Vick will be 33 and gets hurt way too much. The Eagles have a playoff and Super Bowl caliber young team. The big question is how long will Michael Vick last and who takes over for him? Nick Foles is not the answer, and the Eagles jump on the big strong armed QB slipping a little bit to solve their QB of the future question. Wilson will get a chance to learn and get eased into the job. |

With the 26th pick of the 2013 NFL Draft, the New York Giants select OT Ricky Wagner, Wisconsin.
General Manager Jerry Reese: "Wagner is a guy we loved coming out of college and we really think we've taken the best talent left on the board. Wagner is a big, strong guy who won't be pushed around in the NFL and we hope he can develop into our starting left tackle for years to come. The kid shows a great work ethic as well as excellent pass and run blocking skills, and we are proud to call him the newest member of the New York Giants organization. _________________ GO G-MEN

With The 28th Overall Pick In The 2013 NFL Draft The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Select Robert Lester, FS, Alabama
| Quote: | | We have a hole at CB and FS. I was looking at Banks but he got taken right in front of me. I was looking Dee Milliner but I don't think Lester was going to be there with my 2 picks in the next round. We drafted Barron last draft to play SS and why not team him up with his teamate next to him for years in Lester. Right now at FS we have Barber who is likely to be his last year. Lester will come right in and start at FS for us next year. |

With the 30th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, Houston Texans select RB / WR / QB / Playmaker Denard Robinson, Michigan
http://gifsoup.com/imager.php?id=1119881&t=o
The Texans wanted to add another dimension to our offense. Denard is a running, receiving, and passing threat.
We feel that he has the ability to be a Percy Harvinesque player for our team who also has the ability to catch defenses unaware and loft a downfield pass. His abilities give our offense a quick strike threat that defenses have to account for.
The 1st round may be early for a player like this, but we do not think he would have been there with our second round pick. |
