I'm going Lucic, the intangibles his presence offers are undeniable. He also puts points, shows good leadership, 2 way play, physicality the whole works. If we are going on PPG, or offensive skill it be Jeff Carter. The fact Jimmy Howard is getting recognition is ridiculous IMO. Unlike most sports hockey is gauged over 3-5 year spectrum. Casual fans I believe see just recent stats, good example is Ryan Miller. Had a mediocre start, got crushed by Lucic whiched sidelined him for a month, than was awful but finished strong. Fact of the matter is casual fans, younger fans only seen this season, this he had poor results in this poll.
If every player was put into a pot, would the 8-12 regulars posting in this awesome poll were GM's would they really want Luongo over Miller on there team? |
