I have growen up watching him. Was about 10 when he started out. Going to be sad when he is finally done. Truly amazing player. Also seems like a great person to. |
I don't think Tendulkars 15k runs in test cricket will ever be broken. _________________

No doubt, I think it is time for the vets to hang it up though. Indian cricket is in a transition and they need to force the younger players to come out and perform, they need some new legs out there. _________________

I know there are a few cricket players on here so anyone's season started yet?
We start this weekend, 1st XI won promotion as champions last year so we've gone up a league and the team we open against got relegated from the league above this if you know what I mean (basically if Charlton play Wolves in the Championship next season then we would be Charlton) so will be an interesting start. We have our Australian overseas making his debut too and apparently he is very quick so looking forward to seeing him.
I'll be playing in the 3rd XI this weekend in a 20/20 cup game, 3s league doesn't start for another couple of weeks.
Good luck for 2012 fellow cricketers _________________

Our season starts this weekend too.
1st XI start away this weekend, and we have a bloody Bye week to start off our title defence. I play for 2nd XI.
Got a friendly on Sunday though, happy days.... _________________

Finished the season about four weeks ago with this;

Sadly I was the opener that was "removed early", but hey we won the cup. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Congratulations Eves Realty Greerton
In our first weekend the 1s, 2s and 3s games were all rained off, no cricket on the opening weekend which was very disappointing _________________

Cracking start! Rain has affected us, I've only played two games for our 3s so far.
After winning the league last year, the 1s have started with 1 win, 1 draw and 2 called off. The 2s have drawn 1, lost 2 and the 3s have lost 2. I played mostly 3s and a bit of 2s last year (it was my first ever year in cricket) and the 3s just survived relegation, looks like we're in for another tough year... _________________

Anyone know much about Dutch cricket?
Got a few guys from my team over in the Dutch club scene this year, and we had a couple of Dutch players playing for our club last season. One (Sebestian Braat) was called into the Dutch national team not long ago. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

It's fair to say they are pretty weak throughout. Oh well, gives us some practice for tougher tests later in the summer. _________________

If it wasn't for Chanderpaul we may as well be playing Bangladesh. _________________

Disagree that the Windies are that bad at all. There bowling attack is alot better than India's was in English conditions.
We will win this probably by 10, maybe 9 wickets but we haven't dominated the entire match. Just had great sessions that took the game away. _________________
