Does anyone know when/if he can come back into Thr NFL? Would you try him again? It's good to see that he made it out in a twelfth of the time projected. _________________
Drive off into the sunset, you brilliant bastard.
|

As I understand it, and I've emailed the #Packers to clarify, but I believe the team still holds Jolly's @NFL rights. Am double-checking. |
He's "suspended indefinitely", so I suppose no one knows. _________________

Honestly I would like to see him get another shot. If he can still play that is. _________________
Drive off into the sunset, you brilliant bastard.
|

Yeah I loved Jolly. OK one roster spot left, it's was between Jolly and Anthony Hargrove? Who do you pick? |

We wouldn't have to make that decision until at least week eight because of Hargroves suspension. That's not including Jollys possible suspension too. Either way if Jolly can get back to how he was before the run ins with the law then I would take them both over Wynn and Wilson. Guy too. I'd be stoked if we got Pickett, Worthy, Hargrove, Daniels, Jolly, Neal and Guy on the PS.
Edit: might look like a lot of DEs but I can't see any other DL making the team besides Raji. 7 players for 3 starting positions isn't too bad. _________________
Drive off into the sunset, you brilliant bastard.
Definitely Jolly. He was becoming a top DT when he left the game. He's still young (29 I think) and his contract wouldn't cost much at all. He could easily play the Pickett role in this defense, but with more pass rush. _________________

Not to knock on Jolly but I think people are selling Hargrove short. Kid can play ball. I can't wait to see the rotation of him/Daniels/Neal.
Edit: looks like we do have his rights if he comes back. _________________
Drive off into the sunset, you brilliant bastard.
|

Jolly was our best run stopping defensive lineman we had. I'd love to have him back for cheap. _________________

I honestly doubt his suspension gets lifted. He's had multiple chances and blown them all. Best bet is he is done playing football. _________________

On a personal level, I'd like to see him get another shot on an NFL team. Kid had skills when he was on the field. I'd guess he's far from in-shape, though.
Realistically, I highly doubt it's the Packers (although I certainly wouldn't be against it), if any NFL team. Good luck, Johnny Jolly! |

Yeah it was ment to be hypothetical. Highly doubtful that Jolly (essentially a free agent) comes back to GB at 29 after starving jail time and a draft where we selected 2 DL in the first 4 rounds. Would love to have him back tho! |
