Leonard Johnson was my next-door neighboor for awhile when I was growing up. Me, J (Leonards nickname), and Dexter McCluster all grew up together and played football at the same HS. Def happy to see J as a Buc. It's kind of surreal seeing those two become NFL players.
Especially since I was better than J at football when we were kids _________________

| Quote: | Leonard Johnson felt right at home this weekend. Not just because the Iowa State cornerback had signed with his hometown Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent, although that was quite a thrill.
His comfort level was the result of being picked to work on a separate field during the three-day mini-camp with the team’s draft picks, right where Johnson always believed he belonged.
“I came in not knowing what to expect and here I am with the drafted guys,’’ said Johnson, the former Largo High School quarterback. “So, we all blend in now. Someone told me yesterday, “it’s not how you get here, it’s what you do once you’re here.’ And that just said it all. So I’m excited.’’ |
Glad to here Johnson is doing well. From the 5th round on I was hoping everytime we picked that we would scoop him up. I think he can add some toughness to our team, hope he keeps impressing. _________________

Good to hear that Johnson is doing well!!!..Im rooting for him to make the active roster. Lewis has had his chances and hasnt impressed me yet. CB position might not turn out too bad. _________________

We signed him the day after the draft. He is on our roster and will be heading to camp with us. _________________

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/05/10/bucs-waive-jordan-jefferson-after-four-days/
| Quote: | Former LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson was added to the Buccaneers’ offseason roster on Sunday.
On Thursday, the Bucs announced that Jefferson has been waived.
“There’s a lot of upside there,” coach Greg Schiano said following Jefferson’s minicamp tryout last weekend. “So I think we would like to have a chance to work with him.”
Tampa must not have seen that much upside in Jefferson, because he was cut after spending four days on the 90-man offseason roster. Instead, the Bucs opted to keep undrafted rookie defensive tackle Myles Wade following Da’Quan Bowers‘ likely season-ending Achilles’ tear. |

I wonder who they are going to pick up for the developmental QB position now. I also wonder if this had anything to do with Jefferson's law suit. I mean to cut a guy 3 days after signing him (without any additional practice) seems kind of weird _________________
