Man... wonder if he'll be able to come back and play.
Really rough for him.
But that company is probably going to be paying him quite a bit of change for loss of livelihood. _________________

Wow. Re-ruptured the tendon?
Hate to say it, but this is probably a career ender. That healing process is most complicated during the rest portion, right before rehab starts but right after the sutures are set into the tendon. To rupture it again means that the sutures didn't do their job, allowing any sort of scar tissue to be torn along with the tendon. Wouldn't be surprised if there is another tear somewhere in the achillies - what was once a single rupture is now another rupture, now in two places.
I'd imagine that recovery from THAT hasn't been done at this level before. They're going to have to find another entry point to re-suture the tendon, all at new suture points. They'll have to also check for any structural damage sustained during the fall, as well as additional tears sustained in the achillies.
If this is a case of equipment malfunction, Peters' lawyers don't even have to be good to get him an eight figure settlement. A nine figure settlement isn't out of the question, as he was a high performer at his job (which is all but lost given the injury). _________________

Google Roll A Bout and go to images. Can't help but laugh picturing Peters on one of those.
Unfortunate for him though, was hoping to see him on the field again... _________________

This sucks for him, but could be good for him in the long run. He could get a settlement larger then he could have gotten playing the game, but that injury will stick with him for a while. A single rupture alone takes over a year to heal, but 2? on the same tendon? that could be a 2-4 year window you're looking at just to get back into running, let alone playing against 300 pound Lineman. _________________ Kate Upton for sexy President!!!

I wouldn't jump to conclusions on some payout from that company. He would have to prove that it indeed malfunctioned AND that it was involved in the injury.
Let's not act like many football players and athletes in general have been injured and came up with some stories that turned out to be false. _________________

I was disappointed that it wasn't one of those motorized rascal scooters. The thought of Peters getting thrown from one of those scooters and then getting his injured heel run over by it made me die laughing. _________________
