He was a 2nd round pick...Even without the rookie wage scale, he would've got a similar deal.
William Moore was picked at the exact same spot before there was a wage scale, and his deal was 4 years 3.35 million. _________________

2nd round picks are awesome. If anything they might be the most valuable selections we've made in the Dimitroff era.
Curtis Lofton
William Moore
Peter Konz
3 good players who you get for 4 years at less than $1m/yr. Plus Tony Gonzalez who wasn't as cheap but has still brought it.
For a franchise that doesn't like risky players, I'm surprised we don't go all New England and trade our 1st for a pair of 2nds each year. |

hmmm... I disagree with that cause our 1st rounders have been pretty good too.. (outside of Jerry)
but Mitchell, Robertson and Ewing have been signed too. _________________

I'm aware of small sample size arguments - but our picks outside the top 6 of round 1 (hopefully we won't be picking top 6 in future):
Round 1: 1/3 (Weatherspoon - missed on Baker & Jerry)
Round 2: 3/3 (Moore, Lofton, Gonzalez)
Seems like a win for round 2 to me...
---
Oh, and I wanted Dorsey and Brohm so my opinions are best off not listened to. |

But you can't take out the top 6 guys...
Guys still in the NFL, Guys still on team
Round 1 - 5/5 100%, 5/5 100%
Round 2 - 3/3 100%, 2/3 67%
Round 3 - 6/7 86%, 6/7 86%
Round 4 - 2/2 100% , 2/2 100%
Round 5 - 7/7 100%, 6/7 86%
Round 6 - 3/4 75%, 3/4 75%
Round 7 - 3/5 60%, 3/5 60%
So for the most part, the team has actually done pretty guy at building the team from draft picks in general _________________

| Well, you and I will have to disagree. I don't find anything particularly impressive in a player still being on the team. I want difference makers or good role players, not just guys taking up a roster spot |

exactly. I agree but sometimes, if a 7th round player is on the roster for 2-3 years, that's more than what the average 7th round pick does. _________________
