James Rodgers runs really slow to be a return guy IMHO... Calvin ran a 40 in .3+ seconds less. |
James Rodgers ran a 4.51... Calvin ran a 4.32... but Pearcy ran a 4.31 |
That doesn't help Rodgers...Calvin I think has the best chance out of them |

4.5 is slow if you are as small as James and play the WR position. Punt returners need to be more quick than fast, so he might work out there, but I don't think he could handle KR duties. I honestly don't see him making the team. _________________

I know you're big on Rodgers, but I read he runs a late 4.5-early 4.6 40. That is slow for an athlete his size trying to make it into the NFL as a WR. Not hating, just really like some of the other guys we brought in as well. _________________

That Michael Calvin guy from Cal is damn impressive from a measurable point of view.
6'2"
210 pounds
4.32 forty
11'1" broad jump
40.5 vertical
He might be raw (37 games played, 10 started. 42 catches for 528 yards), but if our WR coach can work something out with him, guy could be a beast. _________________

Yeah I think the same thing. I also think he is closer to 6'3 than 6'2 (but hey close enough). I think he got an awful deal at Cal. He would have gotten substantially more playing time at another school just because Keenan Allen is a BOSS and he has a familiar guy to him in his half-brother IIRC (might be his step-brother). I really think he could be good and hope he pushes for a roster spot. _________________

That harcourt kid sure can lay a hit. Dunno about his coverage skills tho
also the jerome raymond signing is an intriguing one, looks like smitty and TD are beefing up competition in all areas _________________ formerly MadAtFalcons |
