| Wasn't really worried about him not signing but its nice to have at least one rookie signed. I really liked this pick and feel Iloka can make an impact on the defense (Maybe not neccesarily this year but in a year or so). |

| Deals are so cookie cutter nowdays with the new CBA that there's no reason not to have everyone signed for rookie minicamp. The players get the injury protection of being under contract. |

With how it is set up now, why isn't everyone signed a couple days after the draft? There is literally 0 benefit in waiting anymore. _________________

Mike Brown likes to hold on to every penny he can for as long as possible. If he doesn't have to sign his draft picks yet, he probably will not. _________________

Meh, IIRC AJ Green was the first 1st round draft pick signed last season... _________________

I would expect the bulk of deals to be signed during or after minicamp. heck, the ravens have already signed all of their picks, but their rookie camp was last week. I have confidence that Mike Brown can get it done. _________________

They'll all be signed before July. Don't see why it's a big deal to you guys that they're not signed yet. It's not like the rookies are going to hold out of minicamp... _________________

It's not a big deal at all, just curious at the hold up. I'd think the players would want their bonus ASP considering their leverage in negotiations is gone, and the team is able to do more with players in offseason activities once they are signed. I literally see no benefit to waiting. _________________

The benefit for the rookies is to get paid before something bad happens. I can't remember the player or team, but a few years ago some drafted rookie tore his ACL during rookie minicamps and never even got signed. _________________

Not entirely accurate. It's Tyrone McKenzie you are probably thinking of. Patriots had to give him a contract anyway, it's in the rules. He pretty much gets slotted between the picks before and after him.
| Quote: | On May 2, 2009, during rookie minicamp, McKenzie tore the ACL in his right knee after getting tangled up with a running back.[2] He was signed to a four-year contract on August 25 and subsequently placed on injured reserve.

| Quote: | PFT has learned, via a league source, that the team has reached agreement on a four-year deal with defensive tackle Devon Still.
Still’s the third Bengals draft pick to sign, but the start of camp will likely mean the other seven draft picks are locked up in short order.
UPDATE: Make that six other picks. The Bengals just announced Still’s signing as well as the signing of wide receiver Marvin Jones, who was selected in the fifth round.
