I don't want anything to do with either of them at pick #3 though.
The person with the most potential outside of Anthony Davis undoubtedly Drummond, then probably Perry Jones in my mind. Key word being potential. |
And this is what I'm trying to say as well. I don't want Harrison Barnes, but he certainly has more potential than Robinson and you take that risk on potential with a pick that high, you don't simply settle for an average player with no hopes of getting significantly better.
Drummond, MKG, Lamb, Beal all guys I'd take over Barnes. And assuming we are in that top 3 range, one of them should be available. However, if we end up missing out on all of them somehow, I would be perfectly content with Barnes simply because of his potential. That's what I'm trying to argue.
As for Perry Jones, while I certainly do love his potential, reports state he could be available in that back end of the top ten (which our second pick SHOULD be at). So I'd much rather use our later pick on him. However, so many things can change from here to the summer workouts, so it's hard to say where and when he might be projected to go come the actual draft. |
And that's where you're wrong. How the hell does Robinson have no hopes of getting significantly better? I want an explanation on that and LOL at taking Lamb at 4. He's fallen to the late lottery at best, I'd be absolutely livid if we took him with our pick. _________________

I'll be disappointed if we don't come away with either Davis or MKG. The only player I'd like other than those two is Beal, and he's pretty much a clone of Gordon, so I don't think that would work out. Our second pick's a toss up, we could go a number of ways. _________________

Beals a better shooter but you go BPA. If Beals there at our pick and Davis and MKG are gone you gotta go Beal. _________________

...I clearly explained why two pages ago.
As for Lamb, he's just one of my personal favorite players. I won't really debate that so much as say let's just wait and see what happens during summer workouts.
Guarantee Lamb doesn't make it out of the top 5. _________________

I can see him gaining a few spots but no way he gets back into the top 5. Beal, Davis, MKG, Robinson and Drummond have the top 5 pretty much locked up. _________________

Pretty certain Davis, MKG and Drummond are the only "locks" at this point. I think a few things may change as far as Robinson and Beal go come summer workouts. We shall see though. _________________

Beal definitely cemented himself as a top 5 pick. The Cavs won't turn him down unless they have a chance at MGK or Davis. _________________

Monty Williams finished 12th in coach of the year voting, pretty impressive considering we'll likely be picking in the top 5. I personally think Monty is one of the best coaches in the league, even if he did get my favorite player traded... Thornton _________________

Hopefully If we retain Gordon and hit on both of our lottery picks things are definitely looking up! _________________

The current rumor is that Benson wants to change the name to New Orleans Spirit or Angels. I just puked in my mouth. As if we haven't gone through enough as Hornets fans. _________________

I guess he wants it to go along with the Saints.. I'd rather the Angels myself, but I'd like something that better represents the city like the New Orleans Spice or Jesters _________________

I'd hate the Angels or Spirit, its just so...meh. Jeff Duncans been throwing out a lot of ideas.
My top 3 in no specific order are the Crusaders, Revelers and the Armada. The New Orleans Armada would be awesome _________________

New Orleans Spirits would be funny, but they wouldn't do that.
I like the idea of the New Orleans Armada _________________

I think the logo we could have with the Armada would be pretty cool _________________
