But that lowly 4th round pick got us 3 immediate starters and impact players. That is why Dominik is a genius and has had 3 great drafts in a row. Now I believe we have the coaching staff set for our young squad to continue our rebuilding process. |
Yeah, we have actually gotten great value for his picks.
2010:
Mccoy: Great when on the field, nearing injury-bust status (obviously not Dominik's fault)
Price: Another injury case, probably never going to be an impact player
Benn: Good 2nd/3rd receiver
Myron Lewis: LOLOLOLOLOL
Mike Williams: Michael Clayton 2.0? We shall see
Brent Bowden: LOLOLOLOL
Cody Grimm: Personally I think he is god awful, but we like him so much we took a safety top 10
Dekoda Watson: Fantastic pick.
Lorig: Probably off the team
2011:
Clayborne: Fantastic pick
Bowers: Looks like he has potential
Mason Foster: Flashes of brilliance, flashes of confusion (typical rookie)
Luke Stocker: Shown nothing
Ahmad Black: Shown nothing
Allen Bradford: Gone
Anthony Gaitor: Shown nothing
Daniel Hardy: Waste
2012: We know we rocked it with Barron, Martin, and David.
These drafts look promising, but with that being said, it's too early to tell. We can look back and say the only good players we got from these were Mccoy, Benn, Clayborne, Foster, etc. I feel good about these picks though, excited to see how they all pan out. _________________

^ My predictions for this draft:
Barron: Stud.
Martin: Very good, top half of the league RB
David: Our best LB, actually could play on other teams
Goode: Good situationally but not a full time starter. Geno Hayes 2.0
Tandy: Elbert Mack-ish
Michael Smith: Solid but not special back who shows some flashes from time to time (mostly due to the beast OL)
Dunsmore: Doesn't make the team. _________________

Goode tackles and is best in filling gaps and blowing up the offenses run game. Not even close to a Geno Hayes. Maybe from the situational standpoint but thats it. Actually no, Geno should have never been on the field.
Tandy hits and actually can pick off some passes. He did it a lot in college. I think he is currently better than Mack.
Michael Smith I predict to be a dynamic #3 RB and a great change of pace guy. His roll will only allow him to show flashes.
Leonard Johnson I think makes the team and ranks above Mack, if he makes the team, but below Tandy on the depth chart.
Cody Johnson I think will become a great FB for us and will pave the way for our RBs behind and already solid OL. He also runs a 4.64 40 so he has some wheels for 260 lbs. Could be a goal line guy too if we need him to be. I think Lorig is gone and Johnson takes starting FB. _________________
