Which Rookie RB will have the most impact in the 2012 season?

Listed in the poll are the 9 RB's taken in the first 4 rounds.

I don't like voting for the first player taken at the position as it's too "safe" but it just makes sense here. They'll be starting a rookie QB, lack outside targets, have no other good RB's on their team, and Richardson is just the best prospect of all the rookies. So I vote for Richardson.

I'm also high on Doug Martin for the Bucs, and Schiano strikes me as a guy who wants to have a physical run based offense. He'll take over the starting job from Blount soon enough.

Pead at 50% at the time of this post Cool Laughing

I think him just taking some of the load from Jackson, keeping Jackson fresh and hopefully healthy, that could give him the biggest impact.

Trent Richardson. I think he's going to have a fantastic rookie season.

Richardson. He has an outstanding OL in front of him and a passing game that is lacking. Cleveland will have to run the ball alot and he's going to get ton of carries.

Richardson should get plenty of carries in the Childress run-run-pass offense. Given he has a decent Oline in front of him, I expect 1100-1300 yards rushing as a rookie.

I think Richardson is going to ball. He's going to get a ton of carries but playing in a tough defensive division with not many weapons around him might limit his success for now.

I voted Martin. Greg ran Rice into the ground at Rutgers and I expect him to do the same with Martin. Greg has said many times this offseason that we are going to pound the rock. Nicks and Joseph leading the way, with Jackson on the outside and NFC South teams lately not known for their stout defenses, I think sky's the limit for Martin.

T-Rich easily

He will get a ton of touches day 1 behind a potentially very good o-line

Richardson will most likely be the only one out of all these guys to be the #1 running back, plus he's significantly better than the rest IMO. It's Richardson pretty easily.

If Trent Richardson wasn't in this draft, I would have taken Martin as well. You make some really good points there.

I'm just going to throw a little known fact around since Wilson has become so underrated on these boards.

Quote:
David Wilson had more yards after contact than any runner in the country. According to STATS X-Info, Wilson had 990 yards after contact last season, or 267 more yards than Richardson, who was seventh in the country.

I'm not saying he'll be better than Richardson but the guy is taking an awful lot of hate on this forum in general.

For this thread yeah, it's Richardson because he'll be the guy from day one and in a better position to succeed. Down the line though I could see Wilson being the guy who could take the reins. Not because I'm a Giants fan (I'm speaking honestly) but because prior to the draft I was a true fan and was blown away. I've rarely seen a rawer RB prospect with such freakish athletic ability and toughness... fast, explosive, powerful and durable. I don't put any of the other RB's in this class on a level above him (truth).

Now that I've got that off my chest... let the David Wilson undervaluing commence. Laughing
