He doesn't go down, you have to make him go down. He fights for every inch when he's carrying the ball and I love that in a back. I think we're really going to wear down defenses on the ground. |
He also has better hands than Lynch and shows that 2nd gear, that Lynch lacks. Lynch is more powerful and has better drive, but Turbin is quicker and more versatile. Love the pick. |
I always though Lynch's hands were underrated - plus I'm sad that the Seahawks don't use him more in the passing game - his 8 yarder to Robert Royal in his rookie year was pretty nice. _________________ GO SEAHAWKS GO!

They're overrated & not making the Playoffs next season.
8-8 or 9-7 best for Seattle. (& No Playoffs) |

I still wanted Polk. Although this injury is really affecting his stock. He should've got his medical RS. _________________

Hulk interview
Says Bobby Wagner is the best LB he's ever seen on the field (as far as playing for or against). Really raved about Wagner.
Says he thought he was going to be picked earlier so that's cool.
Loves to be among the 12th man
Says his family is his main inspiration and that's why he's never failed as a football player. _________________

Don't know if this has been posted yet but it's a great article on Turbin. Guy has gone through a lot to become an NFL player. I'll be rooting hard for him to succeed.

I love this pick for two reasons:
1. A Bruiser with deceptive speed that could develop into the eventual replacement for Marshawn Lynch. Needs to work on vision and decision-making, but he has the athleticism to succeed.
2. Will spell Marshawn along with Justin Forsett, so there's no pressure on his shoulders to carry the load in our run game.
With Robert Turbin being brought along, Sidney Rice being healthy, Golden Tate/Doug Baldwin developing.. and if Matt Flynn is 5/6 of what you'd expect from a franchise QB in his first year starting a full season, we'll be set. _________________
