Blair was clutch in 2010 but had a very rough 2011. It got to the point that Mark Richt was using two kickers. |

ANALYSIS
Walsh is a three-year starter with an active and strong leg. He consistently puts the ball in the end zone on kickoffs and has been reliable enough that a team with a need may select him to keep him off the free-agent market.
STRENGTHS Walsh is a confident kicker who will let it rip from beyond 60 yards. He is most reliable in mid-range kicks. He is a good athlete who is capable of making a tackle as a last resort.
WEAKNESSES Walsh has been inaccurate at times when he tries to drive the ball too hard.

it should also be added he's not form Notre Dame. _________________

I like it. Longwell is on his last leg, long in the tooth, or which ever pun you want to use.
We needed to find a kicker. _________________

If we keep 2 kickers this season...
I like the pick don't get me wrong, but we have so many holes. We simply can't afford to waste a roster space on a guy who will simply just kickoff.
Seeing how he might need to better his accuracy as a kicker, can we call this one the Blair Walsh Project? _________________

why would that be a waste?
a waste would be drafting a guy who never sees the field. when you think about it. _________________

If he has a strong kicking leg, i guess solid pick. if not, not good at all.
id rather have had a LB here, honestly, this is the only pick i hate so far.
if this guy can boot it though, maybe i will come around. |

Longwell future replacement, I'm fine with it.
Let him do all kickoffs this coming season. _________________

not necessarily. he has survived every challenger we bring in to camp so far.
but Longwell's contract does call for a $3mil 2012 season. what does a 6th round rookie make?
