|
|
Well ladies and gentleman, boys and girls it is officially time to begin the 7th Annual Arizona Cardinals Mock Draft Challenge!!! This thing has been something of a big event the past few years, making legends of mere mortals and I am now ready to get year seven back and cracking. Past champions of this event include Dr. Gonzo, Metal, Khodder, FitzNBoldin, Cardinalsfan, Duane1947 and our reigning champion TBus. Our reigning champion will also be attempting to become the first poster in the history of the Mock Draft Challenge to go back-to-back. We've also never had a poster win the Pick-Em League and the Mock Draft Challenge in the same year, which apollo14000 will be attempting to do.
For the winner(or winners) this year I have a special custom signature to be worn by the winner/winners and them ONLY throughout the course of the season in addition to bragging rights over the entire forum. I personally have never had any luck with this thing in the past but the seventh time(Please god...) is always a charm and I can smell victory. Here are the rules and the way the game works, for those of you playing for second place.
1. One mock draft per member
2. The final mock needs to be posted by exactly one hour before the actual draft starts
3. You don't need to explain the pick when you make your mock
4. The mock needs to be a full seven rounds, including the teams additional sixth round pick and excluding the teams second round pick
5. You can post your mock, but then edit it, all the way up until the deadline
6. Also post the position you think they'll go next to the pick, you may put a LB for their pick but deep down if you think they go WR, put that and you could get points.
7. All players are to be listed by their college position as to avoid any confusion associated with tweener players
Point system
If you get the player right - 10 points
If you get the position right - 5 points
If you have a player going in round 1 but he goes in round 2 (ect) - 2 points
Here is an example of how it will go..
Round 1 - Joe Thomas - OT- Wisconsin- WR
and the actual pick is ..... Dwayne Jarrett - WR - USC ... you get 5 points because you put the position they could go next to your pick. If the pick was JoeThomas, you would get 10 points.
Another example..
Round 2 - Marcus McCauley - CB- Fresno State- CB
and the actual pick is .... Marcus McCauley, you get a total of 15 points because you had both the player and the position you think they will go.
Another example...
Round 2- Steve Breaston- WR- Michigan- WR
and the fifth round pick is....Steve Breaston, you get 2 points for naming a player selected by the team but in a round different from your actual prediction.
Below only post your mocks and you can update them up until ONE HOUR before the draft begins. If you any questions don't hesitate to ask. Good luck to all competitors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! _________________

First clarification - Cordy Glenn - He is a tackle for the purposes of this becasue he played Tackle in college. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Yes. His last college season was played at tackle, thus, he's a tackle. _________________
