I can put DDC ahead of Reiff, because OG is a bigger need for us right now than RT. And I certainly think DDC is ahead of Coples, who I just don't see as a fit at all for our defense. After that point I agree there are hard spots to pick. As far as the guys you would list him among, I take DDC over all of them.
Where is Poe on your list? _________________

There is no such thing as a reach if the guy is going to be playing that position for 5-10 years. I don't care when you draft him, I'd rather have the best OG in the draft and possibly in the past few years as opposed to the second or third best Tackle, maaaaayyyybe the best linebacker, or a question mark at nose.
You see, it doesn't matter when or how you get the guys, as long as you get them. DDC is just too good to pass up, he immediately shores up our offensive line and has us only needing to look to upgrade as oppose to replace for the next few years. _________________

I hope you respect and support the drafting of Sebastian Janikowski then. _________________
Healthy Gates >>>> Anyone to play the TE/WR position, ever.
|

Everyone, including myself heavily criticized that pick when it first happened, but if you look back at that draft and the other players who were available at the Raiders' pick, they absolutely made the right choice. Tough to hate on it in hindsight.
All in all, I agree with brawl's outlook on "reaches". As long as a player fits your needs and provides the biggest upgrade from what you already have on your roster, it's the right pick. Reach or not, the draft is there to help you improve, not make yourself look pretty. _________________

I've heard that Asamoah could be moving to left guard, any truth to that? I think somebody was saying the KC Star had an article, this would make a DeCastro selection even better since that is the position he played in college. _________________

We picked Sylvester Morris in the 1st, William Bartee in the 2nd. So, yeah. Absolutely, give me the mad wherever he's from and you can keep drafting scrubs at premium positions.
Was there a question in there somewhere? _________________

Jesus...I forgot how bad some of our old drafts were...it says something that Dante Hall in the 5th was the best draft pick for us...at least we had Waters as a UDFA... _________________

You can call me Ryk. I'm not big on pleasantries. That Tebow guy just ruined it for me. _________________
