A lot of people doesn't understand what "one player" means and simply put a list of name... (almost a mock draft)

If I put a gun on your head and you have to choose one, who is it?

If somehow Cordy Glenn were to fall to us at 25 I'd be ecstatic. He'd step in immediately and IMO opinion provide pro-bowl level performance for the next decade.

who the hell is Doug Martin?

A RB prospect from Boise State that rushed for 1,300 yards and 16 TD's last year.

I'll take a Miami running back over a Boise RB any day of the week.

This guy reminds me of all the Donald Brown hype for whatever reason - who got drafted by Indy...and yeah..he's obviously great.

Mine would be USC DE Nick Perry. I find it hard to believe he is available, but who knows, most so called "experts" have this guy as a mid/late 1st round pick.

Perry is the best and most projectable pass rusher in this class with good size (6'3" 271) and excellent athleticism.

Perry is the player i want to see in a Bronco uniform most.

It seems to me a lot of people on these boards like Nick Perry. But why this difference, what is it the "experts" don't like about him?

I love Lamar Miller as well. But just because i guy went to a certain school doesn't mean they are a better NFL prospect. The Hurricanes have sucked for a long time, and so does the former 'elite' competition they used to play against. So just because he went to Miami doesn't mean squat.

Doug Martiin and Donald Brown ARE NOT EVEN CLOSE to the same prospects. If you didn't even know who Martin was, how on earth can you compare him to a former prospect...? Laughing

Donald Brown had 1 great season, and he offered literally nothing at all as a receiver out of the backfield. Had 53 receiving yards total during his outstanding season. Did i mention he only weighs 210 lbs?

Doug Martin has had back to back awesome seasons, is a GREAT receiver out of the backfield (593 yards over past 2 seasons.) He also is 5'9 and 227 lbs. Which makes him extremely difficult to deal with. He is like a little tank...

Nothing close.

So he's like MJD?

See this is why I post. So I get get you guys to do all the research for me Wink

Back to a bigger point though...

Miami backs have a long, storied history of great running backs and that may be an understatement. Can't say I feel anything close to the same about Boise St. Although you did make this Doug Martin character sound a bit more interesting.

I was thinking the same exact comparison.

Ta'amu, Hill, and Reyes stick out as my favorite prospects in the first.

I like Lamar Miller, but he is just a little to finesse for me at the position.

What you want is not always what you need....

I really WANT Doug Martin. What we need is to end up with the best possible pair of DT's we can find in this draft. from a fit and a value perspective, I think that would be Ta'amu and Wolfe.

I'm still hopeful we can trade back into the early second, pick up an extra third, and then trade our 2 fourths for another third. Give us 2 seconds and3 thirds. There is GREAT value is this draft in the second and third rounds, especially at DT, RB, and WR.
