|
|
|
I posted about this in the draft thread, and got good response so i decided to go ahead and get this rolling.
We're going to put together a Rams forum 2 round mock draft. If you are willing to actively participate, then post here.. here are the details:
-Each participant selects 2 teams that they will pick for. One AFC team, One NFC team
-This is a pretty chill event, but there has to be some sort of time restrictions in order for this to get going. Please don't join up if you don't plan on being on fairly often. While we may allow 4-6 hours for picks to be made, some people don't take that long so you need to check regularly to see if you are on the clock. The goal is to get two rounds done before April 26th. Results will be posted in the NFL Mock Draft forum for other teams to judge so DO YOUR RESEARCH for the teams you are covering.
-when you make the pick for your team, please PM the owner of the team that is next on the clock informing them it is time to pick. This should make things go faster. I will try to put the team OTC in the thread title when possible.
-while a team is on the clock, other members (who are participating or not) should post in this thread who they think that team should pick. If the owner of the team does not promptly make a selection, we will auto-select the player that is agreed upon by the rest of the forum.
-If there is a period of time you do not think you will be online to make a pick, simply PM me your big board and I will select the BPA based on your board when it comes time to make your pick.
I think that is about it. Post in this thread if you are willing to actively participate. Also go ahead and tell me which two teams (again 1 AFC, 1 NFC team) you want to GM for. Teams are First come-first serve.
If the teams fill up and you miss out, feel free to keep posting in this thread as we will auto-select players based on forum popular opinion of picks are missed.
Draft is approaching, but I thought this would be a fun way to keep things going until then!

We should make a discussion thread for this to keep this thread clean but still be able to discuss. _________________

Ill take the Panthers and the Jets.
A couple questions. Are trades allowed? And since teams like the Raiders and Saints dont have a pick in either round im assuming they are out of this by default? _________________

Yep forgot to mention Raiders and Saints are both out. So we're looking for 15 participants.
I was going to leave trades up to you guys. I'm fine with just keeping it simple and doing straight picks.. especially since we only have like 2 weeks to do this.. but if everyone wants to do some simple trades (just involving picks.. and only a few predictable major ones; i.e. Patriots moving out of the 1st, someone moving up for Tannehill, etc) then that's fine too.
Just let me know what you guys think. _________________

I think we should go longer than two rounds. If we finish the first rounds quickly, I'd like to do four rounds. _________________

I would love to go as long as possible. I just tempered expectations by going with 2. It's all up to how active everyone is!
I'll be taking the Bears and the Bills _________________

yeah this was part of the reason I was iffy about doing trades.
Plus I just don't like it when these things get super trade happy and no one ends up picking in their original spot. It's unrealistic.
If its something everyone wants to do then I'll warn that I am a very strict trade moderator. I'll let others throw in opinions as well.. but trades better make a ton of sense for both teams and not just an FFMD free-for-all (no offense to FFMD at all.. the trades are just insane). There were only 3 draft day trades in the 1st round last year.. and I wouldn't allow many more than that.. _________________
