Let me just say that I hate Melvin Ingram as a DE. I think his short arms would kill him and he has little future as a full time guy there. I've been adamant about not liking him.
However...I'm really starting to like the idea of him at SLB. I was just thinking about it. It's the type of bold, unique personnel fit that Pete loves. Ingrams 3cone and other agility drills were tops even among LBs and I think he brings everything we want in our SLB. He'd be a great 5th rusher and he brings the versatility to play on the line on passing downs.
Thoughts? I know it's a different approach, but I just don't see us taking Kuechly. I think they'd rather move KJ inside. _________________

damn you SoS, i was just thinking of a way to pitch this to you guys. I've been slowly becoming more and more of an ingram fan over the last month (especially because i root for guys that everyone tends to doubt). I'd love to bring him in as a pure rushing linebacker, in a Tamba Hali like role for the defense. I'm not gonna sell him short because his arms aren long enough, his kids a gamer. And i was really impressed with him in his interview, your hear can hear success and passion in his voice.....i have the same feeling about him that i do with robert griffin. I'd love to bring him in
I'm trade down, Perry, Ingram, Kuechly or bust at this point. And that won't change in the next 2 1/2 weeks. I'm likely always going to root for this guy wherever he goes. I think he's going to be an 80-100+ career sack guy when it's all said and done _________________

Most likely getting the day of the draft off! I'll only watch day one live but that's what DVR is for on Friday. _________________

Yeah, I am really hoping that I dont have baseball when the seahawks pick. Last year I had to go drive to Seattle (about a 5 hour drive for me) and missed the entire draft when I was in Seattle. That was very unfortunate... _________________ Trying is the first step towards failure

I'd honestly consider Ingram at ILB if I was a 3-4 team. I don't hate him, I think he'll need to drop 10-15 lbs. in the NFL _________________

I don't know about inside. He has ideal bend and athleticism for the outside. _________________

What's the list of players we visited with last year? Would be nice to see the relevance of this list. _________________

all i know is that all the washington prospects are automatic ( which i'm sure you know too). I tried to look it up myself, unsuccessfully _________________

I only found 1, it was Davon House. Obviously we didn't take him. Obviously small sample size. Take it for what its worth. _________________

I'd have to assume it's mostly due to how easy it is to visit with players in our own backyard. _________________

I hope to God, we aren't considering Brockers or Donnie Fletcher. Fletcher had a bad year and got absolutely toasted, multiple times at the Senior Bowl. He looked completely lost. Brockers is the most overrated player in the entire draft, as well. I know teams usually bring in a bunch of guys that they might target in the late rounds or as undrafted free agents and to be honest, there are a lot of guys on that list I know absolutely nothing about. Of the guys I do know, I'd love to get Ron Brooks. |
