Hello all, it is time for the 2nd round of FFMD. For those that don't know, the 2nd iteration does not include any FA movement, contracts or cap room; just the draft. I'll be the GM this time around, but I want everyone to be as involved as they can.

I don't want to got through roll sign-ups, because I want anyone and everyone to participate as much or as little as they want. I also don't want my role to be anything more than keeping the thread organized and posting official moves; I want all decisions to be well-discussed (and hopefully agreed upon). I would also like to have two people volunteer as AGM's to help out with posting moves if I am not around. I will post all trade offers I get so it can be discussed by everyone.

I want to keep things as fun as possible, and not-so-serious. I don't want to deal with the secrecy and complications of hidden player lists, false rumors, etc. I want everyone to discuss everything in the open, and use FFMD to talk about prospects and the Vikings' potential draft strategies. There is no way to "win", so let's just have fun with it.

I would also like anyone and everyone to look through other teams' trade blocks and rosters and look for any potential trades.

Off the top of my head:

LB-Keith Rivers, a pretty average player but versatile. Currently not slated to start. We could try to get a bargain.

CB-Leodis McKelvin, has been a bust in Buffalo's scheme, but a change of scenery and scheme may allow him to flourish.

CB-Sean Smith, With the addition of Richard Marshall and the emergence of Nolan Carroll, Smith should be available. The Dolphins shopped him the 1st time around.

I dont really see anyone on the team thay we can trade and get some good compensation for. Maybe Jared Allen, but im against trading him. Just another hole to fill on a team that is full of them.

However we do have Everson Griffen to help fill that hole, and with what we get in return for Allen we might be able to fill 3 other holes. I definitely wouldn't do it for less than a 1st+3rd+, but it might be worth fielding some offers.

I would say the same thing about Kevin Williams, Chad Greenway and Brian Robison. We would need a good deal in return but it might be worth taking some offers.

I would def listen to offers for Kwill, Greenway and B-Rob. But im just not on board with trading your best pass rusher in a pass happy league. He is easily our best player along with AD, and imo you dont trade your best player for an unproven player. Unless your getting a top 5 pick. Just my opinion.

And we should sell Robison to 34 teams as he could be a really good 34 olb. And id rather keep Everson, i really like him.

The Bengals have noted your interest in Keith Rivers. So far there has been no asking price set.

What are we thinking regarding Rivers? I also heard Rey Maulalagulagaul could be available.

Rey is a thumper at ILB, too similar to EJ.

As for Rivers, pending the price its a good addition. Could start any position, outstanding run defender and average in coverage.

For compensation, if they try to get cute than forget it. Demeco Ryans went for and mid 4th and swap of 3rds. Granted DeMeco is a Pro Bowler and has production a 4th is high as I'd go for Rivers. Ideally our 5th and something next year though.

Hi Guys, just stopping by to see if there's any interest in any of our players on the block.

Pick #9
QB- Jimmy Clausen
RB-JStew or DWill, not both.
OT- Jeff Otah
DE/LB- Eric Norwood
WLB- Thomas Davis
CB- Captain Munnerlyn
CB- Darius Butler
FS- Sherrod Martin

If you have interest in any other players, just shoot me a PM. Some will be untouchable but we might be willing to move some for the right price.

I think our high 5th, or a swap of 4ths would be appropriate.
