I'm gonna laugh hard when neither Gurley or Borel make the 53 man roster.

1-5 is going to be Jennings, Nelson, Driver, Jones, Cobb.

Yeah. It is unreal how high some people are on those two, especially Gurley.

I expect it to be that way.

We are a championship team. We need the best 53 guys on the team. Driver, right now, is better than both Gurley and Borel.

I don't think it's without reason, especially when it comes to Borel. I'm not as high on Gurley as others are, but he does give us a different look out there. Borel on the hand I think has some very true potential, really smooth athlete and he can make things happen after the catch with the ball in his hands.

He's so raw though that unless he progresses a hell of alot, he's a bad fit for MM's precision passing, multiple formation offense. He has the athletic talent but is so far from a polished football player that it isn't even funny.

What TT and MM have shown to like in WRs is polish more than athletic ability.

Lol yall are funny.

Gurley or Borrel will take nothing away from Cobb.

Cobb will be the 4th leader in rec behind GJ, Finley, & Jordy.

I agree he's definitely raw but I'm hoping he will make enough strides from year 1 to year 2 to earn a spot on the 53 man roster. Don't think he'll last another year on the practice squad considering he already got an offer to be a part of Minnesota's 53 last year. Would hate to see him go to another team because I really think he can be a player for us.

The only thing is, I don't think it would be impossible for one of them to make the roster as a sixth WR, especially Gurley since he plays so effectively on Special Teams.

He woudln't be so much the 6th WR as he would be getting one of the handful of roster spots that we reserve only for our best special teamers.

I wouldn't be shocked if Borel outplayed him at receiver in TC, but misses the roster in favor of Gurley.

But I would be shocked if our top five is any different this year than it was last year.

With Finley being basically half a WR, I really don't see them keeping 6 WR on the roster + Finley, There just aren't enough roster spots to use one on someone who is that low on the positional depth chart just for special teams play unless he is just head and shoulders above everyone else.

Looks like my prediction was right. Just goes to show that I'm an elite football mind. My takes are second to none. Well, except Palmy.

Randall Cobb tomorrow. 35 yards rushing, 140+ receiving, and 2 touchdowns
Marquette down. Cool

Cobb is on pace for like 2460 APY

anyone think he approaches the record Sproles set last season (2696)?

Oh damn! Never crossed my mind he was on pace to get that close to the record. Could very well be within his grasp if Jennings isn't back until the playoff time frame. I really don't understand why we don't give him more carries.

Please don't bump up threads for the sole purpose of proving you were right. Thanks.
