Here's my latest mock following these rules: http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=485572
4. Trent Richardson HB
Best HB in the draft. Childress took Peterson, Holmgren took Alexander, now we'll take Richardson.
22. Stephen Gillmore CB
Heckert and Holmgren love defensive backs. Gillmore would make a nice compliment to Joe Haden.
37. Zach Brown OLB
Based on the rules, Rueben Randle doesn't make it this far. If he does, he's my pick no questions asked. But we get a nice LB with some much needed SPEED.
67. Kirk Cousins QB
Cousins is gonna be good. I just have this gut feeling that Cousins will be good. He's my favorite QB in this class not named Andrew Luck. I like him about as much as I liked Mike Kafka in 2010, which, if anyone remembers, was quite a bit.
100. Greg Childs WR
I would have liked to have added a WR earlier than this (see: pick 37), but I still like Greg Childs' game enough to have confidence he can become a #2 WR in this league. I also believe that Greg Little, with some improved agility and catching, can still develop into a #1. That makes our WR duo (if you've ever watched ESPN2 in the morning) the Greg & Greg show.
118. Tony Bergstrom OT
Honestly, this is another position I wish I could have addressed earlier, but from what I've read Bergstrom is a mature, seasoned RT prospect that can compete for the job Day 1. The only downside is that he'll be 26 this year.
139. Janzen Jackson FS
Former Tennessee Vol could have been a lot higher on people's boards if he wasn't kicked off the team. That plays to our advantage as we grab a potential steal here.
160. Donnie Fletcher CB
I know I double dipped at the CB position, but again, Heckert and Holmgren highly value CBs so it's not a stretch, plus with Brown losing a step or two, we can use some young competition to help push guys like Buster Skrine. He's also a Cleveland native so I had to show some love there.
204. Ryan Miller OG
Can never have too much OL depth.
205. Donte Paige-Moss DE
We signed two DEs in FA, so I don't see us spending a high pick on one, but I can see us grabbing a potential steal here to develop. He was a 1st round pick before the season. There's a reason he was rated so highly. He's got the talent.
211. Eric Page WR
Double dip here at WR, but Page has the potential to be a solid slot receiver, and can compete with Norwood for the job. Plus, he's a Toledo Rocket (my favorite college that doesn't have a buckeye-headed mascot)
245. Drew Butler P
I don't know if Hodges will be back next year, but if he isn't, we'll be in the market for a new punter. Butler is a highly touted punter prospect, and at this stage in the draft, it's a pretty good pick that can fill a potential need.
247. Blair Walsh K
Phil Dawson will always be a Cleveland Brown, but he doesn't want to be here anymore. He wants to go to a contender, and, like Big Z last year, I think after this season it's time we move on and let him go after the title he deserves. It won't change the memories we have of him. Blair Walsh is a highly touted kicker prospect, and we get Georgia's kicker to go with the Georgia punter we took two picks earlier.
It's not my ideal draft, but it'll do until I inevitably change it again. What do you guys think? _________________

I'm pretty much against Gilmore, rather have Jenkins.
But like the Richardson pick
I like alot of the later picks _________________

Not bad, don't like Cousins though.
The Browns already have enough under talented go-getters who top out as decent backups at QB. _________________

| What about that LB from Cal who ran like a 4.4? They say he has the goods, just not the size? |

I thought I'd be the only one that wouldn't mind Gillmore there. I have a feeling he's going to be a good one. _________________

Doubtful we'd add so little to the offense with the first four picks.
Childs and Page are the answer at WR? Is the question "how do we add as little as posibble to the WR corps?"
I pretty much hate every pick but the first.
F+ for me. |

4. Trent Richardson HB
I like the Richardson pick and the closer we get to the draft I think he is who we are going to end up going with.
22. Stephen Gillmore CB
I would prefer Stephen Hill or Reuben Randle here as we really need quality weapons on the offensive side or if I am going defense I would take Mercilus or Perry, but let’s say we go offense and take Hill.
37. Zach Brown OLB
I have really cooled on Brown the more I read about him. It sounds like he is a very good athlete and a very average at best football player. If I go defense here I think I take LaVonte David in this spot or perhaps Janoris Jenkins or Alfonzo Dennard. I think Mike Adams and Kevin Zeitler would also be better picks. I think here we would David.
67. Kirk Cousins QB
Not a big Kirk Cousins fan and I think if it were me I would address the RT position and take Bobby Massie or Mitchell Schwartz if Massie is gone.
100. Greg Childs WR
Greg Childs is a nice pick and I think he will bounce back, although the Brown’s record on picking slightly damaged college players does not strike me as very good, so I might go with Minnifield in this spot and give Haden his counterpart.
118. Tony Bergstrom OT
Bergstrom is not a bad choice if the RT spot has not been addressed earlier. If it has been addressed then I think looking at a DE like Malik Jackson from Tennessee has a lot of potential and would be a good pick here.
139. Janzen Jackson FS
Jackson is a good player and a nice pick if you think you can keep him focused and on the straight and narrow. If not I would go with Aaron Henry to address the FS spot.
160. Donnie Fletcher CB
Rather than double dip at the CB spot, which outside of a solid starting #2 CB, I actually think is fairly solid and deep on the Brown’s roster, I would triple dip at the WR spot as I think we are pathetically thin there. I would go with a guy like Jeff Fuller, AJ Jenkins or Tommy Streeter.
204. Ryan Miller OG
while I do not argue the depth question on the OL being needed I think here is where they go after their project QB like a Nick Foles or someone else if they have fallen to this spot.
205. Donte Paige-Moss DE
I really like him in this spot and I think he is low risk high reward type player.
211. Eric Page WR
I like Page but if we addressed the WR spots earlier like I think we will I think here is where you get a rotational DT or depth on the O-Line. Maybe take a chance on a guy like Hebron Fangupo a DT from BYU or Donald Stephenson an OT from Oklahoma.
245. Drew Butler P
247. Blair Walsh K
Not sure we need to address the kicker positions in the draft with all the other holes we have but if there were no other potential position players who have slipped that might be worth taking, then these picks are okay. |

Updated my draft a little bit. Put more of a premium on WR and less on OLB. Cut out the CB double dip and added a TE.
4. Trent Richardson HB
Best HB in the draft. Childress took Peterson, Holmgren took Alexander, now we'll take Richardson.
22. Stephen Hill WR
Hill has impressed with a great Combine and Pro Day. Hill has all the tangibles one could ask for to succeed in the NFL. With some seasoning, he could be a legit #1.
37. Janoris Jenkins CB
Heckert and Holmgren love defensive backs. Jenkins would make a nice compliment to his former teammate, Joe Haden. Dawgs 2.0, or should I say Gators 1.0?
He'll make for good competition for Colt in camp.
100. Orson Charles TE
With Watson's health a question mark and Evan Moore an ineffective blocker, someone like Orson Charles could find himself pretty high on our big board. He's a pretty good pass catcher and willing blocker. He can compete with Jordan Cameron and Moore for the starting spot.
160. Travis Lewis OLB
We need to find a Will LB, and Lewis was a once thought of as a 1st round pick. We get a possible starter here.
