Also what did I miss last night. |
He's always said if he absolutely needed to (financially-wise), he could work a wwe schedule and that he'd wrestle if the match was right (I believe). _________________

I liked Bischoff but only bc when he Austin were Co-GM's. Austin just made it the best. The constant arguing and jokes was amazing between the 2. _________________

I think Taker is done this year. I fully expect a full write off with this WM match. _________________

Bischoff is one of the most overrated figures in wrestling history. _________________

The only person to ever have Vince's back up against a wall?
His track record when he has the financial backing and creative freedom he needs is pretty impressive.
What doomed him is a combination of his lack of ability to keep egos in check and the AOL/Time Warner merger.
I will always have tremendous amounts of respect for Bischoff's business savvy, as well as Kevin Sullivan's booking ability.
Now if you want to talk about overrated figures in wrestling history, I can throw plenty of names at you; Vince Russo, Jeff Jarrett, Bill Watts, etc. etc. _________________

I think he was one of the main causes of the dimise of WCW and I hated his tv persona. _________________

Obviously, you're allowed to hate his on-air persona, but what did he do that made him (in your eyes) a main contributor to the downfall of WCW?
Him revealing Foley's title win? That was a bad move, and if you read his book Controversy Creates Cash he admits as much. However, that didn't break the seal.
Don't even get me started on the train wreck that was his attempt at purchasing WCW.
If you actually go back and look over the career of Eric Bishoff, he clearly was not perfect. There were times when he made some questionable decisions and allowed himself to be suckered into some less than ideal partnerships.
But to suggest he was the main contributor to the downfall of WCW is out and out ludicrous. You will not find one person in the pro wrestling business who is worth their weight in wrestling tights that will claim such a thing.
Bishoff loved the brand and did everything humanly possibly to assure it succeeded. _________________

Bischoff was in favor of all of those ridiculous contracts to the major stars. You know he's up Hogan's... He's a snake from what I read, and obviously there are more than 1 reason WCW failed, I just feel he was a main reason. _________________

Bischoff overrated? I think not.
He created the best thing ever in wrestling history (NWO) and made it last for a while. Not to mention he was very good as the GM of Raw. Bischoff as a heel was great. _________________

There was so much to consider in terms of the downfall of WCW, one of which I believe was that fact that they waited to late to elevate new stars. People got tired of Hogan, Sting, DDP, Booker, Goldberg, Hall, Nash, Flair, and other recycle the same fueds, the same matches we had seen the decade prior to that.
WWE we through this period for a while when there was no new stars and the product became stale, but in the last 2-3 years we have seen the emergence of Sheamus, ADR, Punk, Bryan, Kingston, Rhodes, Ziggler, Miz, and Truth. It's helped their product somewhat redeem itself and begin to gain some popularity again. _________________

Doubt it. I think that ship has sailed. Would be funny though in the Taker/HHH match though. _________________
