Hello fellow Texan fans! I'm new to this site, but I was instantly hooked once I started looking around. I'm from Southeast Texas and I have been a hardcore fan of the Houston Texans ever since they came into existence in 2002. I'm currently a student at Lamar University and I'm majoring in Kinesiology (teaching & coaching). I'm fascinated with the game of football and everything that comes with it, stats, x's and o's, strategy, gamesmanship, etc. I am very active in fantasy sports (football, baseball, basketball). I am a HUGE Texas A&M fan, Gig 'Em!, as well as a HUGE Houston Astros fan. I'm more into NCAA basketball than the NBA, although my interest in the NBA is growing more and more every year. Of course, my team is the Houston Rockets. I also love watching the Men's and Women's USA soccer teams play as well. I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee and duck hunting in my spare time.

Welcome to the board! Always great to have another Texans fan to talk to on here. In addition to the Texans board, we always have an Astros team thread in the baseball board and also the Rockets team thread in the basketball board. Hope you post on both of these also.

Very Happy

Good morning.

I am a huge Texans fan from SE Minnesota. Since the Vikings are such a high quality team Wink it was hard to transition to the winning Texans as my favorite team. I love the Texans. I have an AJ jersey, an AJ fathead, Texans gloves, and I have a really comfortable Texans fleece that makes me look like a boss. I hope the Texans' latest success can continue through the 2012 season.

GO TEXANS!!

Who is gonna be Mario William's replacement? Do we go for an OLB in the draft or reach into FA?

Me too! Shocked Rochester.

I'll never forsake my Vikes, but I love Houston for three reasons.

1. They're not the Cowboys.
2. Their uniforms are awesome. They balance style with tradition.
3. They are consummate underdogs. They have too much bad luck to be an elite team, but it's wonderful to root for them. If they made the playoffs without Schaub, I think they can make it to a Super Bowl if he stays healthy. Here's hoping! Cool

All my friends here as well as my parents are all Vikings fans. I'm very accepting of Vikings fans because, well, you aren't Bears fans

I know where you're coming from. I'd sooner root for the Packers than the Bears. Do us a favor and step on Chicago this year; Minny might not be up to it.

Man I've been on here for a year now, and I feel like everyone knows everyone better than I do. Although I don't post as frequently as some. But I was looking through this thread and saw yall used to do updates and that there hasn't been one in a while. (I know that sounded a little sketchy Shocked)

My name is Chris and I'm 22. you can call me LJC or whatever you feel like.
I currently finishing up my 4th year at SFA majoring in kinesiology with a minor in secondary ed along with math.
I played a little of everything in high school but drifted towards music towards the end. I played pretty much every brass instrument.
Also picked up bowling as a Jr. and became pretty decent if I say so myself, I currently hold a 216 avg in my local league.
Hopefully when I graduate in a year I can get a job in the Houston area and become a season ticket holder.
Lastly im into competitive bbqing and want to buy my own rig once I graduate so I dont have to use my dads.
