So I drew the Seahawks in a board-wide mock draft I'm doing elsewhere. With 1.12, I got Nick Perry. Seems like an ideal LEO kinda guy, considered he looked like he played the position when I watched USC. Coming up on 2nd round, almost done with first.

I checked this thread for suggestions. With the signings you've done since the lists were made, I'll assume there's a priority shift in what you want/need, so I'm asking for advice here.

- Lynch resigned - only really need a CoP guy, so perhaps a guy like Pead or LMJ in the 3rd/4th?

- Flynn signed - Kinda eliminates an early QB, but perhaps Cousins or Osweiller later? If Tannehill is still there in the 2nd, should I leap?

- Cox, Still, and Brockers are off the board, but a 1-year contract doesn't fill me with enthusiasm that Jones wants to stick around. Worthy in the 2nd, or Thompson in the 3rd?

What about WR, OT, or OG? I know OL is probably a 'later' thing with who you have and Cableguy. Lot of value @ WR still, but we're still about a dozen or so picks away

anyway, here's how it went so far:

1. Colts -- Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford
2 Washington -- Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor
3. Minnesota -- Matt Kalil, OT, Southern Cal
4. Cleveland -- Quinton Coples, DE, UNC
5. Tampa Bay -- Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU
6. St. Louis -- Justin Blackmon, WR, Okla St
7. Jags -- Melvin Ingram, DE
8. Miami -- OT Riley Reiff, Iowa
9. Carolina -- Dontari Poe, DT, Memphis
10. Buffalo -- Dre Kirkpatrick, CB, Alabama
11. Kansas City -- David Decastro G,Stanford
12. Seattle -- Nick Perry, OLB/DE, USC
13. Tennessee (from Arizona) -- Luke Kuechly, LB, Boston College
14. Dallas -- Courtney Upshaw - OLB - Alabama
15. Eagles -- Michael Brockers, DT, Louisiana State
16. NY Jets -- Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama
17. Cincinnati -- Whitney Mercilus DE, Illinois
18. SD -- Cordy Glenn, OG/OT, UGA
19. Chicago -- Fletcher Cox, DT, Mississippi State
20. Arizona -- Michael Floyd, WR, ND
21. Cincinnati -- Stephon Gilmore, CB, S Carolina
22. Cleveland -- Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor
23. Detroit -- Mark Barron, Ss, Alabama
24. Steelers -- Dont'a Hightower, ILB, Alabama
25. Denver -- Devon Still, DT, PSU
26. Texans -- Colby Fleener, TE, Stanford
27. Patriots -- Janoris Jenkins, CB, University of Florence

Since Hawthorne has not resigned, MLB has become a pretty big priority. A pass rushing SLB would also be a big priority as well, since Wright would likely move to WLB, where his skillsets can best be utilized. If we do take Perry in round 1, our second round pick should most certainly come at either MLB or SLB. I could also easily see us taking Kuechly in round 1 and then filling the LEO position with Vinny Curry in round 2.

Who are some "Seattle-style" targets for both? Shea McClellin for SLB, if I can move down a bit in the 2nd?

Personally, I think guys like Bobby Wagner, James Michael Johnson and Jerry Franklin would be perfect for the MLB role, if we don't draft Kuechly in round 1. I especially like Wagner. As for the SLB position, I believe Audie Cole would be a very good candidate as would guys like Nigel Bradham, Brandon Lindsey, Sammy Brown and Kyle Wilber. I'm not a big McClellin fan at all. I think he's highly overrated.

Just do your thing man... You're going to get varying opinions from all of us. I for one love Bruce Irvin as a SLB. Just know that Carroll has said he wants speed at LB, and generally speaking, we want a SLB who is capable as a pass rusher.

Don't think we'd ask a whole lot coverage wise at the position. But that's just my opinion.

I think it would be safe to say Demarcus Ware would be an ideal SLB for us. We want a 3-4 OLB type, but not simply a pass rusher. Whoever you think can work there, go for it.

I like Irvin alot as a SLB prospect, but after his latest off the field incident, I'm thinking that this guy lacks the maturity to succeed in the NFL. He definitely has the talent though.

If he is going to mature, it will be under Pete.

Possible 3rd rounders I'm looking at:

1. LaMichael James - CoP back with explosiveness to compliment Beastmode

2. Derek Wolfe - I know you have Jason Jones, but I'd be wary of a 1-year contract

3. Trumaine Johnson, Jayron Hosley, Jamell Fleming

4. Bobby Massie/Zebrie Sanders - don't know if they'll drop, but if they do, that's some talent at a position of injuries and turnover for you

5. Brandon Washington, Brandon Brooks, Lucas Nix

6. Greg Childs, Nick Toon, T.Y. Hilton

2. Curry (chance he won't be there)

there are a ton of potential LEO canidates in this years draft. I would consider drafting Kuechly at #12 and using our 2nd for V.Curry, A. Branch, Whitney Mercilus, Shea Mclennin, Chandler Jones or another prospect that falls.

Mayock had only 3 of these hybrid LB/DE going in his mock.
Ingram, Perry and Upshaw. while I think Curry and Whitney might also go, this still leaves us with a few guys that can fit the bill.

If this is how it played out we could easily get a solid LEO/ Elephant in round 2. There are about 6 guys Id like/ love. Meanwhile there is only 1 ILB that will satisfy me going in the 1st or 2nd and that is Luke "skywalker" Kuechly.
