I just want to jump in and say the "age" argument is one of the most silly arguments that anyone can use.

I don't care that a 23 year old guy with 3 years experience outperformed 23 year old rookies. Experience is much, much, much, much (I'd keep going but you get the point) more important than age.

So, please, stop saying "This guy did this at age X compared to these other guys at age X" unless we're talking old guys. Otherwise, stick to the years in the league. Age is an absolutely silly argument.

Anytime I turn a Giants game on, the man is making plays all over. He allows that defense to be as flexible as it is because he has got the speed and range of a corner (seeing as he used to be one) and the strength to come up and make plays on the ball carrier (FF against the Packers comes immediately to mind).

Sure he might not pile on bulk stats, but the man makes plays and his presence is known and has to be accounted for.

How many Giants games do you watch? He doesn't make that many plays, certainly not as often as he gets burnt. He's a decent in the box guy but for the most part is a liability in pass coverage. A lot of people don't recognize this, and assume he's good because of how much he's getting paid, how highly he was drafted, how long he's been a starter, and the team he plays for. Thus, overrated.

he doesnt get burnt as a safety, but we played him out of position this year, the only game where i recall him playing safety was vs cardinals and he managed to get an int. we're playing him out of position so you can really expect him to play like all-pro in the nickel not on the outside but a nickel

Walterfootbal came up with his own list, and was wondering who FF considers the most overrated?

Quote:
10. Stanford Routt CB, Chiefs
9. Antrell Rolle S, Giants
8. Deangelo Hall CB, Redskins
7. Michael Turner RB, Falcons
6. LaGarrette Blount RB, Buccaneers
5. Brandon Marshall WR, Dolphins
4. Randy Moss WR, Free Agent
3. Desean Jackson WR, Eagles
2. Eagles No. 7 QB, Eagles
1. Wes Welker WR, Patriots

Interesting list to say the least, don't like seeing a Chiefs player on here but it is what it is.

Welker #1? Ya, wicked overrated. 100+ catches for how many staright years?

You must have confused him with Kenny Phillips.

Even when Rolle was playing in position in 2010 he got burned WAY too often. He'll make that wow tackle every once in a while but he misses too many.

He has 3 INTs in 2 years as a Giant.
