We've talked about Decastro, Glenn, Kirkpatrick, Jenkins, Floyd and Richardson, but what about some other guys as rd 1 possibilities?

Luke Kuechly - Would give us a few options. 1) Cut bait with Rey's shenanigans 2) Move Rey back to SLB and let Lawson go in FA 3)Use more 3-4 looks with Rey and Kuechly inside, Lawson and Johnson outside, but still use a base 3-4

Dontari Poe - Would have to be the 2nd part of the NDT rotation with Peko to start off, but he has monster upside. Goalline situations would be good right away too.

Kendall Wright - Took a hit because of his 40 time, but the guy is an explosive WR, i'll believe the tape.

Trading back from 21 - I could definitely see this if guys like Upshawk, Hightower, Brown or Ingram fall. Pick up an extra third (or second next year) and get someone like David Wilson, Alfonzo Dennard, a WR, or Dog Martin in the late 20's, early 30's

Devon Still - Guy is a great penetrating DT that is starting to get under rated. This would be an upgrade on Fanene and would team well with Atkins on passing downs.

Anyone have some thoughts or other suggestions?

Obviously it wouldn't happen due to Cook being extended, but Peter Konz could upgrade our C position.

Alshon Jeffery: Great size and hands. Might not get separation as much but can go up and get the ball, which would help Dalton.

Nick Perry: Slight chance he'll still be there at #17. Would love to see him line up with Dunlap and Atkins on that D-Line in pass rushing situations.

Luke Keuchly is a guy I wouldnt mind. LB is not a need, but I am starting to lose hope in our LB core. But we shall see.

Any of the DT's- Our run defense really struggled at the end of the year. A fresh new DT like Brockers or Poe could really jump start our run defense. But Rivers return could also help.

Mark Barron- I am willing to overlook his sports hernia, from the sound of it he should return completely healthy. He would be fantastic next to Nelson and could greatly upgrade our secondary.

Nick Perry or Coples- Yes Dunlap is young and promising and as everyone knows I love Michael Johnson, but lets take a look at the Super Bowl champs, they have enough pass rushers to make up for their struggling secondary.

Yup. I'm really hoping we grab a DE or DT in the first or second round. As many of you guys are well aware. Laughing

I am not so sold on a DT, I would rather just resign Sims. But as for DE I would love to get a guy like Perry. He is fantastic value. DeCastro at 17 and Perry at 21 would be great. RB like Martin in the 2nd and sign a FA corner. Yes please

Barron's cover skills give me pause, bother of Zimmer's safeties need to be able to cover.

One guy I've been enamored with is Upshaw. I know he doesn't have a great fit in our scheme but the kid can ball. Gets to the passer in a rush and has the hips to play a little coverage at the sam. May be something to think about if Manny is thinking of pursuing greener pastures.

Here here on the 2nd part but why couldn't we start Konz at Guard and let him develop? Cook gets injured...we have Konz. Cooks new contract is up...we have Konz.

If we do well in free agency I'd love Kuechly and/or Poe.

Not convinced either makes it to 17 though.
