Sounds like a cool premise. Wish I didn't read the book plot on wikipedia though. _________________ Hultzen

Also after reading the book, it's interesting in its own right, but the ending will make Battle Royale fans upset. It was too telegraphed. _________________

Pretty excited for the movie after seeing the trailer. Read the first book in like 4 hours about a month ago. Loved it. Just finished the second. Not as good but still solid. I guess Ill get to the final book sometime soon. _________________

I would rank them:
The Hunger Games
The Mockingjay
Catching Fire _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews

I just finished reading the series on Sunday. Actually finished reading Mockingjay on Sunday. I'd rank them in order of release. The end of Mockingjay just ruined it for me.

The first book was very good. The second book was okay because it was all build up. And the third book was awful...ruined the whole series. Man it was brutal.
But I am still stoked for this first movie. _________________ RIP Darrent Williams |

Loved the first book. But I won't for the life of me read the second or third because the end of the first one just absolutely ruined it for me. It turned a great action survival novel into a Twilight fling.
I'll watch the first one in theaters, I think, but I won't divulge into it any further. _________________ You are on my DISLIKE list, Denver.

Good decision. And I am even a sucker for some romance in novels _________________ RIP Darrent Williams |

Clip of when Katniss meets Cinna.
And just for a couple of posts above this, the books aren't really romance novels. The Twilight books are purely about the romance, this has a tiny bit of romance thrown in throughout, but it isn't about that at all as a whole. _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews

Trailer looked good and this is a movie I've promised to my girlfriend for a while so I will probably see it opening day or a day after. _________________ Legends Never Die. They Breathe Through The New Generation.

So I saw the parody book on the shelves already: The Hunger Pains
[Paraphrased from the quick look I got when flipping through the pages]
"There are the tributes from district 7-the district attorney district. Over there are the tributes from district 9-the red light district. They dress provocatively." _________________
