You'll notice that Davis is the only one listed under "Expected to Be Franchise Tagged." I have to believe that if we let him hit the market, he'll be the #1 guy now especially when the other options are Shockey, Shiancoe, Bennett, Dreesen, Carlson and Tamme.
If we franchise him, I still don't give him another deal until he can show he can stay clean. |

| I like the move of tagging Davis. Mainly cause I think its cheaper to tag him than Landry (not 100% sure on that). Plus it'll make great competition for Cooley assuming he can stay healthy and Davis can stay under the Leagues radar. Obviously now raises the question of what to do with Landry. The team has enough money to resign him but most likely he's gonna to be the highest paid Safety in the league. |
