Since we have threads for all other things, I thought we should have one for any movie rumors or news. Ill start off with this:

Dan Aykroyd confirms Bill Murray wont do Ghostbusters 3

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=87587
Quote:
"The studio, the director Ivan Reitman and Harold Ramis feel there must be a way to do it, but Bill Murray will not do the movie. He doesn't want to be involved. He's got six kids, houses all over America. He golfs in these tournaments where they pay him to turn up and have a laugh. He's into this life and living it. I know we'd have a lot of fun [but] I can't be mad at him. Hes a friend first, a colleague second. We have a deep personal relationship that transcends business and he doesnt want to know."

Elizabeth Olsen close to female lead in Oldboy remake

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=87561
Quote:
Would star with Josh Brolin in the Spike Lee movie

I like the idea of Olsen in Oldboy. She was incredible in Martha Marcy May Marlene, and it seems like she'd fit well in that film. Hope this happens.

I won't watch a Ghostbusters film without Murray and I'm certainly not gonna watch an American re-make of Oldboy. It's a classic. Why must Hollywood remake everything? Just buy the rites to release it in American theatres "as is" and let everyone see what great foreign film is about. They're just gonna ruin it, like they do with 99% of their other foreign remakes.

Because they're running out of ideas and the industry is dying out to CGI and 3D.

I'm waiting for them to remake EVERYTHING in 3D. KID N PLAY IN 3D!!!!!!!

Not a huge Brolin fan, but Olsen should be fantastic.

Nicolas Winding Refn and Ryan Gosling re-team for Only God Forgives:

Quote:
Radiusís multi-platform strategy seems ideal for this picture, a hard R drama which has way more explosive violence than Drive. Gosling plays the son of a Florida-based crime syndicate boss (Kristen Scott Thomas), who is plying the drug trade in Thailand with his brother. When his addicted sibling gets involved in a murder and gets tangled up with a cop who calls himself the Angel of Vengeance, Goslingís character, who is proficient in mixed martial arts, is compelled to seek revenge on behalf of his mother. There is swordplay, and a lot of slicing and dicing.

No offense to fans of the book series, but the film adaptation for The Hunger Games looks so AWFUL. Hahahahahahahaha. Looks like something out of Power Rangers.

This is the trailer I've seen:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgssLmsOa2s

And I think it looks like it will be a very faithful and true-to-form adaptation of the book. I am very excited for this one. Maybe you've seen one of the non-theatrical trailers or something?

I just saw a brand new trailer for it on TV which shows Adam Scott and his Digimon haircut. It just looks really campy and silly.

Sorry. Guess that was Wes Bentley. Looked just like him tho. Regardless, it looks really corny.
